Saving Private Ryan Part 4 - “Clear up, clear down”.

This MOC depicts the moment in the film when a US paratrooper removes his boot, unintentionally causing the weakened wall to collapse and bringing the American Rangers and German soldiers into an unexpected face-to-face confrontation. For a brief instant, both sides hesitate, creating a tense standoff where uncertainty and anticipation outweigh action. Soldiers on both sides shout for their opponents to drop their weapons, but the fragile silence is abruptly shattered when the paratroopers positioned above open fire. The exchange is over in seconds highlighting how a single unforeseen event can transform a moment of restraint into one of intense violence.

Siege of Bastogne - December 1944

The Siege of Bastogne was part of the Battle of the Bulge or Ardennenoffensive.
Starting at 16th of December, serval US army units were trapped by the German Wehrmacht in the Belgian town of Bastogne. After heavy fighting, the siege was lifted by armored and airborne units on 26/27th December.
One of them was the 101st Airborne Division portrayed in this MOC.

The town was for a long time occupied by Germany, which why I decided to put some German left over material in the MOC. Sadly I had no posters of the time I could use for the advertising column, so I needed to improvise a bit.
I also didn't build a house for a long time but I'm quite happy how it turned out! A big thank you goes to @nordlandbricks for sending me a breakdown of the door of his last Moc! You should check out this one too! :D
The Kettenrkrad is designed by me back in 2019.

Contest entry for @only_amoc , lucas_bricks_101 and @brick_battle_history

I plan on building more MOCs, so stay tuned! Sharing it around is highly appreciated too!

We, @blaze_br1x and @trench__raider , are proud to present our collaboration, which we have been working on over the past couple of weeks.
.
Both builds are connected by a shared storyline — they portray the true horror of any war: the loss of a comrade. Through two different scenes, we aimed to show not heroism, but the human side of conflict — the pain, the shock, and the silence after the shots fade away.
.
Both MOCs are dedicated to the events of World War I.

———————————————————————

The Paris uprising (liberation of Paris) began as French Resistance fighters, including the forces francaises de l’Interieur(FFI), seized key government buildings and started skirmishing with the German garrison.

The French resistance organised themselves to sustain a seige by creating barricades, digging trenches and ambushing isolated German troops. 5 days after the uprising had begun Free French general Leclerc disobeyed his direct superior and ordered a vanguard to enter Paris. The German garrison would surrender on the 25th August.
