A very quick duality carousel of @heyflashfoxy Mini Fest in #thegunks ❤️
.

Words can’t describe how much work was put in to figuring out how to make a festival happen in a place like the Shawangunk mountains. @mostly_limbs and I talked for years about how cool it would be to make something like this happen. Between losing a staff member, small logistical challenges that could’ve been bigger issues, stepping in to run a stewardship project, moving between two venues, and the overwhelming feeling of “Can we actually do this intentionally?”, I think we did a pretty damn good job.
.
.
The Shawangunk range has a lot of monetary barriers for people to get into climbing. From paying $10-$25 per day to climb, getting to the ridge with or without a car, and having the gear needed to top rope or traditional climb, it’s not easy to get into climbing in upstate NY. I’m grateful for all of the partners, guides, and volunteers who made this event happen. There’s more to be said, but for now this is what you get. I’m still processing the weekend and being back in NY. Thank you @heyflashfoxy for trusting me to help with what we did for the community.

48hrs in the desert with @acg

Cowboy camping under the milky way, no service, no showers. Just the way I like it. An absolutely unforgettable experience testing what this gear was made for

🍂 Fall is here at Cooper Street Community Garden! 🍁

As we get ready to put the garden to rest for the season, there’s still plenty of work happening.

We’ll be harvesting the last of our crops, preparing our beds for winter, planting cover crops, and our winter harvest. While working alongside some of our smallest garden friends, our wonderful bees! 🐝

The growing season may be slowing down, but caring for the garden never really stops. Fall is a time to tend, learn, prepare, and give the land a little rest before we begin again.

Stay tuned for workshops and Volunteer days.
Here’s to another season of growing together. 🌻🍂🫶🏾

Indy Black Climbers x Red River Gorge 🕷️

We took a group of climbers outside to experience their first time on real rock! I’ve been looking forward to this for so long and it was so amazing seeing things come to fruition!!

Everyone was so brave and strong! It was truly inspiring seeing people manage new fears and pushing themselves in ways they never have before.

Thank you @rrgcc for helping us get climbers outside!!! This experience was so special!! It was even more special to have @bleavitt8 and @walkergenevive as our guides!!! You both were so warm and welcoming to us!! Thank you for hanging with us and keeping us safe💗!

I can’t wait to do this again!!!!

Caring for places like Platte Clove Preserve is a community effort, and we need your help to finish a safer, more sustainable trail through the property!

Earlier this summer, the @catskillcenter partnered with @parksproject and volunteers to begin rerouting an established herd path away from the cliff edge and muddy areas affected by growing visitation. Together, we made incredible progress. Now, we’re returning to finish the job.

🗓️ Saturday, September 5, 2026
🕘 9:00 AM – 1 :00 PM
📍 Platte Clove Preserve

Volunteers will help sidehill, install fencing, and mark the new route and other trails throughout the preserve. This hands-on work helps the Catskill Center maintain land that remains open and accessible for the entire community to enjoy.

All ages are welcome. Registration is required, and volunteers should complete all forms before arriving.

❄️Protect Our Winters❄️ is a community built across many interests and professions with one single goal: protect ourdoor spaces from the impacts of climate change. 👏

With no-cost climate education, research, tools and events, Team POW welcomes athletes, scientists, creative thinkers and leaders to join and learn how to engage in advocacy in your own way.

Communities are rad💫 and they CARE.

POW happens to be one of the most impactful and transformative voices out there.

We were lucky to have them here at the hostel and learn so much from them. 🥂
Cheers to more collaborative opportunities!!

This year with @browngirlsclimb we brought the Climbing Photography Workshop to Brooklyn to create more access to it. Huge thanks to @metrorock_bushwick for teaming up with us and making this workshop possible and @bleavitt8 for being amazing co- instructor. Telling our own stories is a beautiful thing! 📸❤️
