A little creativity, a few things from the fridge, and a surprise bag later... look at that dinner 👀🍽️

My last week at Silwood for this block. It has been an amazing time. We had so much fun together. Could not have asked for better people to work with. Thanks to all the chefs for making this block feel amazing.
This week been a very different week to all the others. I had the privilege to work with chef Patrick and help the first years with their lunch exams. All of them did so amazing menus.

Silwood 👩🏻‍🍳
I want to thank every single person currently attending and working at Silwood for genuinely one of the most wholesome blocks. If there is anything I learned at Silwood, it would be that support means the world if you’re having a bad day. Being able to be my authentic self and get to know so many people has been such a joy over the past two months! I am also grateful to have been able to experience the teaching side of the culinary arts and I’m overjoyed to have been able to teach people things that I would have wanted to know a year ago when I was in their position. To all my first year baddies, I’m going to miss seeing you all everyday and I can’t wait to see you thrive!💗 thankyou @silwoodkitchen @silwood.student.life for everything especially my lovely @treysonlypans and lovely @chef_kelz_ 💗!
Next stop, Beau Constantia 🍷

Salsify 💃🏻🦢
What a lovely afternoon spent with @bliksemskitchen at the lovely @salsify_at_the_roundhouse !! What a stunning restaurant with a breathtaking view and delicious well thought out food! I love it when a restaurant really focuses on local flavours, cooking methods and the overall saffa vibe! Still obsessing over that dessert🤤

Our chef team always has to keep their focus on the farm and what is growing freshest here at that point in time. This means our menu changes frequently, reflecting the changes of the seasons and land. When you eat with us, you’re getting to experience their creativity and flexibility of working directly with the land. Dine with us in September & book at the link in our bio! 🍽️

And another week has passed. We are in week 3 already. @bliksemskitchen icing an amazing cake. She is amazing. The first years had some really nice bubbles in their ciabatta doughs. Watching Table Mountain getting a thick blanket. It is fun making the flower arrangements for the lunch tables.
