Sta.R NOTES
BLINDS — London, UK

A former blinds shop on Hackney Road is now a natural wine bar that’s proving a big hit with locals. As a nod to its roots, they’ve kept the name Blinds (@blinds.ldn), and the two-floor space also doubles up as a bottle shop and events space.

The wine menu centres around low-intervention producers and bottles with character, and it’s a great selection to get Blind(s) drunk on. The food menu is designed to keep you drinking. But while it looks like a snack-fest, it’s actually dinner in disguise. Graze on crisps coated in grated Comté with aioli or tins of spicy mussels, before moving on to their epic selection of pies and giant croque monsieurs.

Downstairs, you can limber up for a Pilates class, catch one of their events or browse the local art, currently showing the work of our very own @ben_loti.

Blinding.
