Week 40 of the Meal Planning Series 🍽️
We’re back from our New England trip! We stayed in a vacation rental for most of the trip, which meant a grocery haul was in order when we landed. I like having some easy meals and essentials on hand when we’re traveling, especially when we’re not staying in a hotel the whole time.

🛒 Sun: Grocery haul! We split it between Costco and Target for essentials like coffee, milk, wine, eggs, cereal, and snacks, plus ingredients for a few easy meals. And a highlight for my daughter: she’d never seen a two story grocery store with a cart elevator next to the escalators!
🍕Takeout pizza for an easy first night meal

🥦 Mon: Beef and orzo with spinach and broccoli. My sister in law also made chili and roasted butternut squash soup, and we ended up adding some of the orzo to the soup. Such a delicious twist!

🍤 Tues: Pesto pasta with shrimp

🥦Wed: Repeat of Monday’s beef and orzo. We already had all the ingredients, so why make something else? No food waste!

🍷 Thurs: Dinner at a friend’s house. Delicious pot roast with all kinds of roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes.

🌮 Fri: Takeout from a delicious little hole in the wall Mexican taco spot. We enjoyed tacos al pastor, birria, and carnitas back at the hotel.

🎃 Sat: Best fall inspired coffees of the trip on our way to the zoo before heading to the airport. And in honor of our week in New England, toasted with Downeast pumpkin cider served in a glass with a cinnamon sugar rim 🍂

A little grocery planning, meals with family and friends, and some vacation treats. Pretty good way to wrap up our New England trip!

These classes fill my cup in every possible way 🩷.

Watching this amazing group move, laugh, encourage one another and show up, exactly as they are is truly one of the greatest joys of my work.

Because fitness is for EVERYONE 💪🏼

And today @bloomingheartsroastery helped fill our cups, quite literally ☕️! Thank you for donating the coffee and for always being such a generous, supportive part of our community. The greatest thing about Blooming Hearts is that I never have to ask them for stuff like this. They always check in with me about when I’m going to teach there and offer it all on their own 🩷 #kindnessiscontagious

[📍Milford, MA] Before Pride Month ends, I need to re-highlight one of my favorite local queer-owned businesses and one of my very favorite coffee shops, period. @bloomingheartsroastery somehow gets it right in every possible way. Their coffee, customer service, and the general vibe are all top notch. I remember the owner offering me a punch card on my first visit and I declined because I hadn’t tried my latte yet and didn’t think I’d be back there enough to use it. Well, joke’s on me, because I filled my first card and am halfway through my second. 🤣

My typical order is an iced salted caramel latte, but today I tried an iced coconut berry latte, which is one of their summer specials. If you’ve been following me for a while you probably know that I’m a sucker for coconut AND berry, so this one was a no brainer, especially with a house-made wild berry syrup involved. I had to omit the cold foam, but I honestly didn’t miss it! Will be back for this one for sure.
