Reflections on AlanFest 35…

In short: the most epic birthday celebration a guy could ask for, and a true testament to the power of community & co-creation.

In less than 2 weeks, a crew of 15 friends, co-organizers, and co-facilitators planned, produced, and executed a *legit* mini-festival.

We started the night with a private ceremony for close friends including breathwork (lead by @drperl), a reflection/sharing circle (@ashbucha), a tantric movement exercise (@love.freq), a “special” tea ceremony (@maryna.light and Alexandra) and a *hilarious* roast (Chris Rumpf ft. @nateginsburg, @nickkoulermos, @maryna.light, @drperl, @max__efremov, and myself).

After the private ceremony, the container opened, and the night unfolded into a truly epic mini festival, complete with 4-5 different rooms/vibes, and around 150 attendees throughout the night.

In the main room, @hotmessmeesh, @djamelb, @swells_ and @soohansoohan kept the dance party going on the decks. Festival-grade sound, lighting, lasers, and decor were contributed by @alex_j_moscow, @mesmerize_clay, @allbucha, @ashbucha, and @chipforsythe.

In the pool house, the Smoke Break burner camp (lead by @drperl and @alvinycheung) set up a gong room that served as a reliable portal to another dimension.

Upstairs, @maxeframov and the Camp Have It All crew held down a juicy cuddle puddle with deep drop-ins and connection throughout the night.

Outside, fire and LED spinners and other flow artists spun their craft, next to the Smoke Break spliff rolling station under the outdoor canopy.

The energy and vibe was immaculate. The perfect blend of big and expansive, but also juicy and intimate. We couldn’t have written it better 🙏🏽☺️

Big thanks to @drperl for running point on ops, and for all the other facilitators, organizers, contributors, and attendees of the night. Y’all are the greatest. Love all of you 🙏🏽❤️
