Singapore Apple Maps got the detailed look upgrade in the latest iOS update

I truly enjoy driving with Apple Maps in Singapore than Google maps - the interface is cleaner with less distractions and of course the aesthetic helps

Fight me 😜 who else Team Apple Maps 🙋🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

Thanks @adamm.aapl for the tip-off

Day 2 - A Day of Recollection

Revolving around Christ’s call of true authentic friendship, we delved into the profound meaning of laying down one’s life for another.

We explored this through self-offering, carrying each other, encouragement, and vulnerability. Additionally, we recognised the significance of having spiritual conversations as brothers, where we listen attentively, create space, and discern the Lord’s presence amidst it all. This echoes the encounter on the way to Emmaus, where we begin to identify and acknowledge the burning within our hearts, rekindling in us the fire to return back to our Jerusalems.

Annual iPhone event - It’s Glow Time has just ended! Here’s a summary of the products announced!

iPhone 16 and 16 Pro, as expected, are packed with Apple Intelligence features. Improved cameras and photography features are the main focus this year - new Camera Control is the main selling point of the new device

Apple Watch 10 is sorta redesigned with slightly bigger screen - seems like Apple is increasing 1-2mm every year now. Looking forward to Sleep Apnea tracking since @joshualjh might find it useful. No updates to Ultra

AirPods 4 was the biggest update in this event - ANC. Cheapest AirPods with ANC. Surprisingly they updated AirPods Max, with new colours. Shocking

Apple Fanboy Math: I didn’t get Ultra 2 last year, should I get an Hermes Series 10 this time? Let me know in the comments!

So today iOS18.1 developer beta is out - it comes with the beta version of Apple Intelligence

I think this is the first time Apple has released the beta version of a .1 version of the upcoming iOS 😍

First impression - other than the visual changes, don’t expect a majorly upgraded Siri with Apple Intelligence. I’ve tried a few request, it’s still answering with a lot of “I found this on the internet”. Doesn’t seem that smart yet

One new feature was writing tool - now you can highlight some texts and have Apple Intelligence proofread, summarize, or rewrite in certain tones. Goodbye other online writing tools 😳

I’m more excited for the AI emoji to be released ☺️☺️

To try Apple Intelligence:
Go to Settings, turn on Beta update and choose iOS18.1 beta. Once you have it downloaded and installed, go to Settings, and join waitlist under Apple Intelligence and Siri. It should be ready for use in an hour.

You’ll need to set your region to US and the Siri language to English US. Otherwise it wouldn’t work.

Warning: once you installed iOS 18.1 beta, it could be difficult to revert to the stable version of iOS17. So do install at your own risk ⚠️

Are you on Apple Intelligence already?
