The Paris Agreement doesn’t go far enough. It doesn’t solve climate change.

By 2045, we will fix climate change @blueplanetallianceorg.

Everyone is laughing when I say that men can never win an argument because they think inside a box and women don’t. Men focus on one subject. Women connect everything, including things outside the box.

Women need to lead companies and countries.

Thank you for having me @womeninspiringnetwork.

Thank you to all of our friends and partners who joined Peace Boat US, Blue Planet Alliance, Rise UP and Welch International at the New York Innovation Forum on September 21 and 22 and other events throughout Climate Week New York! The Forum could not have been the success that it was without all of your support. We would especially like to thank all of our organizing partners for the amazing collaboration throughout the week of events. We are excited to share with you this album which includes photos from both the New York Innovation Forum and all of our extended Peace Boat US Climate Week 2026 events.

The New York Innovation Forum for Sustainable Development was hosted during a pivotal week for global dialogue. The forum brought together voices from civil society, conservation, business, technology, finance, and policy to exchange ideas and strengthen partnerships for ocean and climate action. The conversations centered on a shared question: how can we turn innovation and collaboration into solutions that reach communities and advance the Sustainable Development Goals? We are grateful to everyone who contributed their perspectives, made new connections, and will help to carry these conversations forward. This year’s Family Office Forum luncheon was co-hosted with Peace Boat US, Welch International, Jonathan Barry and Katie Hoffman. We look forward to more collaborations for sustainability!

The United Nations General Assembly is a week where the most influential business, finance, tech, policy, and international relations leaders convene to shape the future of the planet. I’m incredibly grateful to have been able to share the stage with @emilie_mcglone and @peaceboatus at the inaugural New York Innovation Forum which took place at 777 United Nations Plaza.

For two days global thought leaders shared ways collaborate, partner, and work together to leave a positive impact on the planet.

While I enjoyed sharing the work I am doing, co-hosting the event with @emilie_mcglone, and learning from other like minded world leaders, the biggest highlight for me was simply stepping back and seeing everyone interact.

I can’t wait to see what action unfolds afterwards, and learn about the success stories that came from this event as we prepare for the 2027 New York Innovation Forum.

🌊⚡️ Introducing Island Futures Academy: Navigating Futures, Empowering Native Hawaiian Leaders in Renewable Energy!

I am humbled and honored to share that Island Futures Academy (IFA) is a finalist for the 2026–2027 Pay It Forward Accelerator, an initiative of the Scholars Equity Network (SEN), connected to the Gates Millennium Scholars alumni community and supporting changemakers serving underserved communities!

As the first Gates Millennium Scholar from Kauaʻi, raised by a widowed mother with limited financial resources, I know how education can transform lives. Inspired by our kūpuna (ancestors), who navigated the Pacific toward new horizons, I founded IFA to pay those opportunities forward.

🌺 Our Mission: From February–May 2027, IFA aims to support three low-income Native Hawaiian students at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa through a culturally grounded, four-month virtual fellowship built on three pillars:

🌺 Educational Equity: Student stipends, internet connectivity, and educational resources.
🌱 Mentorship & Career Pathways: Workshops, professional networking, and mentorship in renewable energy, public policy, climate finance, and sustainability.
🎓 Graduate Education & Indigenous Leadership: Graduate school preparation, application stipends, internship pathways, career readiness, and Indigenous leadership development.

✨ Our Impact: Individualized career pathways, mentorship, and measurable professional milestones for each fellow, with a vision to expand across Indigenous Pacific communities. Funding also supports an administrative assistant living with a disability, advancing inclusive employment.

🙏 I humbly invite your support! Through the Pay It Forward Accelerator, every $1 donated = 1 vote toward helping our project secure funding!

🗓️ October 12–December 4, 2026
💙 DONATE & VOTE — LINK IN BIO! 🔗

Every dollar counts! Together, we can help our young people navigate their futures, one student, one opportunity, and one horizon at a time. 🌊❤️

Mahalo for your generosity and support! 🙏

I was honored to represent @blueplanetallianceorg at the “Workshop on the Pacific 100% Renewable Energy Investment Prospectus,” convened by the Pacific Community @spc_cps through the Pacific Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency @_pcreee, alongside partners Island Minds Vanuatu, the Renewable Energy Council Asia-Pacific (RECAP), and @smartenergycouncil. 🌊🌎⚡️

It was both a privilege and an honor to present on “Hawaiʻi’s 100% Renewable Energy Target” and share Hawaiʻi’s journey, including the contributions of @blueplanetfoundation and @blueplanetallianceorg, with our Pacific partners as we collectively work toward a 100% renewable Blue Pacific.

I was also grateful to highlight Blue Planet Alliance’s partnership with Greening the Islands @greeningtheislands and our 100×100 Campaign, supporting 100 islands to commit by 2030 to achieving 100% renewable energy by 2045, as well as the leadership and contributions of our youth partners helping shape a more sustainable future.

A special mahalo and my deepest gratitude, to @weareyoungpacificleaders for taking the time to come and support one of your alumna. It meant so much to have members of the YPL ʻohana (family) there as I shared this work on an international stage. 💙

Mahalo, ngā mihi, thank you for welcoming me here in Aotearoa (New Zealand), and for the opportunity to contribute to this important regional effort. 🙏🏽🌺
