Wer weiß es schon genau? ✈️🌎🌍🌏✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏿✊🏻🍉🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Co-directed Version by Munir Arreola, Alexis Lemma @alexislemma & Juna Mazzawi @juna_mzz in collaboration with @danceworks_berlin inside @blurredlines_art at @hosekcontemporary Wer weiß es schon genau? is inspired by Munir’s personal experience as a queer person of color who migrated to Germany in pursuit of a professional dance career. The piece traces the choreographer’s healing journey through moments of deep challenge and transformation, capturing the emotional landscape of migration — from struggle and disorientation to resilience and hope. For this version, Munir opened the creative space to two cast members, inviting them to bring their own voices, perspectives, and needs into the choreographic universe. Together, they expanded the piece to include urgent social and political themes such as hate towards trans identities and the ongoing oppression to Palestinian people . This co-directed version becomes a powerful political statement, shaped collectively with these emerging artists, and resonates deeply with the overarching theme of the exhibition: Reclaiming Our Bodies by @blurredlines_art With this performance was concluded the amazing collaboration with @danceworks_berlin and their fantastic students during all this amazing season we had together inside “Hauptstadt” , “Umi no Hikari” and “Reclaiming our bodies”. Cast: @nioushasgram / @jul.ig / @baumman10 / @raissasmamede / @janoschi / @biadmoreno / @_rieke_nzingo_ / @katharinasonnberg / @carlibireo / @juna_mzz & @alexislemma Sound Design & Music editing: Maris Tammik & Otto Schmid Voices: Leo Tsao, Maris Tammik, Reinhard Künzel, Margarete Schmid Video by @valmondd ✨✨✨

This Saturday, June 28th from 14:00-18:00 at Hošek Contemporary, Märkisches Ufer 1z, 10179 Berlin. (dis)em-body For Reclaiming Our Bodies Video; aprox duration 30mn on loop. In the dominant culture script, pain is rendered something to be domesticated and shushed underneath the carpet. We ought to tidy up its messiness, lock it away, but “to be in pain is to be exposed”. What if instead, pain is the point of rupture within ourselves and the surface in which recognition of one another becomes possible? This body of work is giving myself to you. I do not aim to aestheticized it -this isn’t tumblr – neither to perform it. I’ll insist on vulnerability as a mode of relation and I’ll call it “Tender” because I do not dare to betray its depth. It’s not about healing the pain, but in a sense healing the erasure, and the idea of truth: letting what has been mine become ours. Hopefully, you’ll find something you already know. And hope to see you there
