We’re always told to “keep our promises”. But when we’re told this, have you ever what promises it means?
.
Does it mean the promises you make to others? Sure it does.
.
But have you ever thought about promises you make to yourself?
.
Do you keep those?
.
I’ve realized that I’m not real good at keeping the promises I make to myself.
.
It’s easy for me to NOT keep the promises I make to myself.
.
I need to hold myself more accountable and so starting this morning, when I wake up, I ask myself “what promises am I making to myself today”.
.
What will I commit to in order to be in a better position to accomplish what I want to accomplish by the end of the day?
.
What steps will I take, big or small, to improve some or several aspects of my life?
.
We’re taught to respect and honor others by keeping our promises that we make to them?
.
Are we willing to give ourselves, our goals, our ambitions and our pursuits the same respect and keep the promises we make to ourselves?
.
What promise will you keep to yourself today?
