In case you didn’t know I competed in HYROX NYC to raise money for mental health! …But I never talked to much about it afterwards. September being suicide prevention month feels fitting to bring it up now and say some thoughts.

- To start, I think there’s such a big gym culture around “working out to fight demons” etc etc. But I think social media downplays these things and kinda makes a mockery of it. Which annoys the crap out me. movement is an amazing tool. But it’s a TOOL. Its not a solution. Talk to someone. You’re never alone. You are loved.💚💜

- This was my 2nd hyrox. (The first one I literally cried 3x. It was terrible lol) So my goal for this race was literally to “smile the whole time” and it came true. honestly race day was one of the best days ever. I can’t begin to express how much I had and how proud I am that I did it. I literally couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. For a long time i feel like I was so focused on exercise being something that I have to do, instead of GETTING TO DO. Like how lucky am I that I’m able to push myself to do hard things??

- I’m kinda rambling in this caption but I just want to thank everyone who donated and helped support me. I can’t express my gratitude enough. 💚💚💜💜💚
