A long 2024 highlight - our vacation home purchase and revamp in our most special family lake town, Elkhart Lake, WI. 🌊
Elkhart has always been special to our families. Doug’s Brandl side resided in the area where Grandma and Grandpa Brandl held a dairy farm for many years 🐄
I also grew up vacationing at the Osthoff with my McCann side and our girl cousin crew.

Fast forward to many amazing trips with our own little families when we got the idea how special it would be to have a permanent spot where our boys could spend their summers. @allisitkiewicz put our heads together and feelers out there and after lots of patience (a realtor is their own worst client, especially in a tiny town with next to no listings) found the right opportunity.

An old home with good bones that needed ALOT of love, a location that is a quick jump to the lake, our favorite local spots and @bobbidiedrick Osthoff condo, checked all our boxes. A cozy and charming space, the leg work began.

We began to get creative and to got to work getting resourceful on how to make the most of what we had to work with 🔨 (if you only saw the before pics!) Many trips back and forth and endless Home Depot runs.
Fast forward to our first Christmas at the lake cottage and I believe we have created a family friendly space that other families will love to enjoy as well.

Thanks to @allisitkiewicz @fat_henryhank and @dfreshhhh34 and our family teamwork, our place is going to be renting out for the Spring and Summer 2025 season.
Elkhart Lake is about 2.15 drive from Chicago/burbs, 1 hr from MKE and a short drive to the famous Road America, 5 diamond Kohler Resort and Spa, Whistling Straits, etc.

We are still working on our booking logistics, but happy to open our doors to others who will enjoy it as much as we do🩵

A perfect mix of the rustic northwoods and beach time in Elkhart. This time a little more special as we work on getting our own lake house rennovated and ready to go! Until next time!
