I’ve accomplished a lot throughout my career, but this one is personal.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of recording and releasing a live album. Growing up studying the greats, I always admired how artists could capture something on stage that couldn’t be recreated in a studio. The raw emotion, the musicianship, the connection with the audience. There’s something special about hearing an artist’s music come alive in real time.

Some of the greatest artists to ever touch a microphone have immortalized their performances through live recordings. I’ve always wanted to add my own chapter to that tradition.

Not because I believe I’ve reached their heights, but because I’ve spent my life chasing that same level of artistry.

To hear songs I wrote years ago reimagined by a live band, to stand on that stage surrounded by incredible musicians, and to know that we captured something that will exist long after we’re gone means more to me than I can explain.

I’ve spent so much of my career fighting to create opportunities that weren’t readily available to artists like me. This time, I got to create something I’ve wanted since I was a kid.

After months of work, delays, and obstacles, I can finally say it’s happening.

Truly honored. Thank you @rollingstoneuk for this amazing article on the new track! My new single, “Rock Revival” feat. The Charlie Berry Project, is live TODAY and you can stream it EVERYWHERE! What a way to start the release. As most of you I’m sure know, Chuck Berry is the reason I got into songwriting and to be able to write and release this track in honor of his 100th birthday is just a thrill. Go check it out and see what all the hype is about!! Read the full article here- https://www.rollingstone.co.uk/culture/josh-christina-is-bringing-back-rock-and-roll-63532/

St. Louis always takes the hard fights. Like our good sister @coribush who brought real issues to Congress before it was trendy, it’s the same thing with independence.

We’ve been taking on the industry since they told us in a label office we’d never make it preaching that blk power shit during Ferguson.

Now artists are benefitting from the sweat equity & pain we put in for this. I’m happy they’re standing up. I’m happy yall eyes are open.

Remember where it started though. This is St. Louis.

Live from the Darkroom live concert album coming soon.

Shots out to the amazing artists & band members standing with me. @officiallordell @dhorubamusic @bobby.bearyjay @mediaoutlaws @klick_klack_5 @shailynn_music @gthesinger @dj_grind_tyme
