On County Final day, Dublin GAA remembered Darragh Nelson, who sadly passed away recently.

A minute’s silence was held ahead of throw-in, as Parnell Park stood to remember the @bodengaa man 💙

MATCH DAY REMINDER: CUP FINAL!

🏆 Division 3B Cup Final 🏆

A reminder that our Adult Ladies Football A Panel have their final match of the year this Sunday as they take on Ballyboden St Endas B in the Division 3B Cup Final!

📍 Venue: Ballyboden St Endas
⏰ Throw-in: 3pm

We’re incredibly proud of the ladies and all they’ve achieved this year. Both our A and B panels have been fantastic role models for our younger players, showing what can be achieved through commitment, teamwork and hard work.

Let’s get as much support as possible over to Ballyboden on Sunday and cheer the ladies on as they bid to bring home another piece of silverware for Garda Westmanstown Gaels! 🏆

All support welcome, let’s get behind our ladies!

Our Adult Ladies Football A panel have one final match of the year coming up this Sunday. They will face Ballyboden St Endas B team in the Division 3B Cup Final.

We are so proud of the ladies for all their achievements so far this year and the role models that they and their fellow team mates on the B panel have become for our younger players. Get yourself over to Ballyboden St Endas for the 3pm throw in if you can to watch what promises to be a highly entertaining and skilful game of football from both sides, and let’s cheer our team on as they bid to retrieve another piece of silverware for Garda Westmanstown Gaels

Knocklyon United held a Disco/Live Music/Dancing for ‘Football for All’ Players last Sunday 11th October in conjunction with St Endas Ballyboden GAA/Knocklyons SO Athletics as well as a number of DDSL FFA Clubs.

This was a ‘Pilot Event’ where we had over 55+ FFA players & their families participating.

We used a group from Kilkenny...Events Vibes....who specialize in ‘Entertainment’ for players/families with ‘Additional Needs’. It proved to be a great success with players having a great time & making new friends.

DDSL will update all our FFA Clubs through-out Dublin where the different clubs in the same regions can get together & provide this ‘Fantastic Event’ for all their players as well as the normal ‘Training/Blitz’s 🫶🏻⚽️

⚽💚🕺 What a fantastic Event! 🕺💚⚽
Last Sunday, Knocklyon United Football For All joined forces with @bodengaa Boden Braves, the Knocklions Special Olympics Athletics Team and DDSL for a special disco celebrating inclusion, friendship and community spirit.

The event brought together players, athletes, families, volunteers and friends, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles on the day.

A huge thank you to Mick Kennedy for organising and everyone who attended, helped out and made the disco such a success.

Some lovely words and great memories shared at Darragh Nelson's funeral mass this morning in Ballyroan.

I was lucky enough to come across Darragh on a number of occasions. He was always courteous on and off the pitch. From reporting on his early football exploits on the football fields with Coláiste Éanna pre his move to the Inst of Ed., through to his DIT days and involvement with the history making side that won the first ever All Ireland Freshers football Championship, where I presented the All- Ireland Cup to DIT captain Aidan O'Shea. Then of course his Dublin and Ballyboden exploits saw us cross paths on a number of occasions including at the Ballyboden St Enda's All-Ireland celebrations in 2016 where this picture is from.

A true mark of the man was this quote he gave me in the lead up to the game - 'We haven't just one player. Everyone has just really given and put in good performances." - a selfless individual who gave it all for his family, friends, club and county; and was very much a kind hearted person who will truly be missed.

Suaimhneas síoraí ort a Darragh, fear uasal, fear cróga, Laoch ar lár. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h'ainm dílis.
