✨ Today, we gathered @clubenhergy 🤍⚡️ to honour the life and legacy of our beautiful friend, sister and fitness coach @bodiedbyq 🩷🕊️, who left us far too soon on January 1st. It feels surreal to celebrate her life while grappling with the bittersweet nature of her absence.

This fitness class was a blend of step aerobics and the vibrant dance rhythms of Soca, a true reflection of Queenie’s spirit 🦋✨ From the moment I stepped into Club Enhergy five years ago, Queenie was the first friend I made. Our journey began in a step class, and little did I know that it would lead to a beautiful friendship filled with laughter, love, support and positivity.

Thank you to this extraordinary group of women who showed up with love, strength, and unity to make Quenessa’s home going service a success. Ladies, I truly could not have done this without you. Quenessa stood firmly for female empowerment and representation, and witnessing women come together in her honor was incredibly meaningful. This is the spirit of Alore.😘❤️🙏🏾. Fly high Queen. Rest in Sweet Eternal Peace 🕊️🙏🏾

this ain’t even fair cuz you had sooooo much more things to do, you were just scratching the surface…

I still had a few things to tell you but I thought we had more time u know? I will forever live with that regret…

the truth is you taught me my biggest & hardest lesson in a real sense - tomorrow isn’t promised

you inspired me in more ways than I can count…
I remember when I begged u to train me and I did a leg sesh with u and I obvi couldn’t keep up😂 but you pushed meeee

and u were there at a critical time in my life when I was in survival mode, just tryna figure out how to make it inna life, but you always brought joy and always your bright beautiful smile

and boyyy we used to party nuh man! so last night we partied one last time…in colour and in celebration of you…

I promise to continue to celebrate you for as long as I’m here and I promise to continue to wrap my arms around your mom and your village…

Queenie,
I’ll miss u forever 💕🙏🏾 @bodiedbyq

We lost a real one. RIP Queenie

Grateful to have experienced her light, passion, fiercness, boldness, and love for life.

Queenie supported my nonprofit @ndctrades as a mentor and volunteer. She was on her journey to becoming an electrician and was always willing to support our efforts of trades education for our community.

Anytime I saw her, it was all love. Her smile and genuine good energy was always felt.

My heart goes out to her amazing mother, brothers and whole family. To loose such a bright light is heart wrenching.

Grief has become a welcomed friend. To grieve means to have loved deeply and wholeheartedly. To grieve is to remember that love and carry it with you until you meet again.
