Yippee!!!! Workshop season is on!!! This sacred creative space is open on Monday, April 6th for the first spring mending circle. 🫶🪡. Sign up on my website (link in bio🧵🪡).

Next week will be a big studio clean and sort as I get ready for the mending circle, a one day workshop in May and a long weekend workshop in June. There are a two spots in May & June open 🫶.

🧵One thing I am certain of: we must gather in anyway possible. Community is life saving and creativity is best shared under trees, with endless art supplies, coffee & music. 🪡

Today I will me in Texas at a #nokings peaceful
protest in community with kindreds....gather....gather....gather.

I feel so blessed to show up "at my work" that often feels like play.

This weekend was one visit from a friend after another. Altered clothes were purchased and then stitched on over hot chocolate.

Friends who met in art workshops and stitching circles hugged and new friendships were formed.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, purchased clothes from @paigegrace.tattoo and I, bought prints, cards, words and planners...talked about art and color...and shared plans for 2026. The energy was like a current that ran through us all.✨

I had no sign outside and no big shouts....just an email blast and Instagram and there was a stream of goodness in and out of my studio.

I am beyond grateful for all the support and love you give me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We are a beautiful community together.

Ps. Paige and I are gonna have clothing goodies in my shop soon....xo. Ps 2....thank you Bill Hogan for your artful eye & your camera🫶

It looked like we were re-thinking jeans, jackets, shirts and shoes....

✨but we were sewing magical capes and armor to wear out into the world. ✨These are some of the pieces we created.

We added meaning & connection to the clothing we wear. Each day, as we wear these pieces, we walk out into the world comforted by what is closest to our body and heart.

It was a beautiful & powerful weekend. ✨🫶Strangers met and left as friends. And we are all a bit more padded with comfort to go out into these weird, harsh times. As always, these weekends change me as I see the power of coming together in creativity. This is the antidote for this moment.

You can literally wear your joy everyday especially when you are wearing a vintage feather hat, or a 1960's vintage jacket that was on stage with David Bowie...or a handsewn 1950's apron over jeans and a T-shirt. The most beautiful sky graced us today as we put our feet on the earth & played like there was nothing except this day & our connection to each other & our endless creative ideas. 🌿

The antidote to these chaotic times is fresh air, kindred spirits, music and creativity. There was no outside world. We just keep batting ideas and possibility back & forth like a ball.

We worked on shoes, shirts, art aprons & jeans. And we are just getting started.

A day of eco printing outside. It was beautiful weather and the prints are so lovely! I used a dye blanket for the first time and, while subtle, the results are pleasing. I experimented with Himalayan Rhubarb Extract from @botanicalcolors. Added some vinegar and then some baking soda and got gorgeous yellows. It’s like I’m in science class again, but way more fun! #surfacedesign

So grateful for my experience @sacredmakers at Squam Lake in Holderness, NH. I met so many amazing humans, had deep conversations, learned so much about creating, and enjoyed the natural surroundings and its stillness in motion. I went open to this new experience for me and discovered powerful connections. Thank you for the opportunity, the hugs, the tears, the words, the beauty, the community, and the transformation. I was incredibly privileged to spend this past weekend with all these beautiful souls and so many more. Sacred Makers is such a safe and welcoming community, and we need community in these hard times.

I was lucky and privileged that I could disconnect for a weekend. Now it’s time to reenter the real world.
