Still loving this lower volume and intensity training this week from @bolderathlete It is good time to sign up. I love all music. Every generation has their time is space that the memories are made with the melodies. Many cannot relate to the Disco Era of the 70’s. I think there is nothing like the beat of disco to get you moving. I was a freshman at an all girls Catholic high school when this song was broadcast in our cafeteria in 1976. If you know you know. There were 1200 girls in the building. Uniforms. Ponytails. No make up. Just a stress free way to show up to class. Some of the best friends and days of my life in that cafeteria.

FATHER & SON. SAME GRIND. DIFFERENT GOALS.

Day 2 with Bolder Athlete Programming Time to get to work and get better every day!

🏋🏼‍♂️ Gymnastics: Toes-to-bar, rope climbs & bar muscle-ups
Strength: Power cleans & front squats
Conditioning: Zone 2/3 rowing

Putting in the work, building strength, improving our engine, and attacking our weaknesses. The goal is to show up better prepared for whatever comes our way. For me, it’s getting ready for the CrossFit Open. For Cannon, it’s continuing to grow as an athlete.

Best part? Getting to chase those goals together.

Me vs. Me. One day at a time.

Five rounds. Biking. Rowing. Wall balls and pull ups. Sustainable. But wall Balls after rowing doesn’t feel good. It’s all @bolderathlete work. Building the engine with Capacity work later today. It’s a beautiful day in the Motor City! #crossfitmasters60to64 #crossfitgrandma #bolderathlete

Today’s gymnastics endurance @bolderathlete was a 10:00 AMRAP. For the 60-64 year olds they programmed 8 v ups and three chest to bar. How many rounds can you get? I did most rounds singles or 2-1 on the C2B. Kept a steady pace. I had a few no reps that I needed to re do also. It was good practice. #crossfitmasters60to64 #crossfitgrandma #bolderathlete

“Boy that felt good.”

Haha … it looks a little shaky … but in the moment it felt good and if you listen close you can hear me say so.

Jerk Battery work after 1RM @bolderathlete This smoked the shoulders. In general it went well. I could have pushed the pace a little but it felt repeatable and safe. I am moving through the programing and trusting the process. You should give it a try!
