Doing what I love most, bringing people, pieces and mild chaos together around a shared vision.
I have always enjoyed making things with people I trust, and somehow chennai ends up being part of that story more often than not. Only love and respect for @thef16s and the boys for years. From shooting the album cover for WKND FRNDS to making this film, it’s been nice to keep crossing paths through different projects and people.

@_skanke , @joshurbanned and I have been collaborating for the band for a while, and this time we got bring it under @room.no.101 , get @mr.richardanthony to direct, and man he did a fantastic job with his classic ideas. @raghavadhithya went all out, the eye for detail and care he brought into the whole process made a huge difference.

As always, the making of it was probably as much fun as the final film. Long hours, a slightly mad schedule, good people, and it all came together.

Big thanks to the boys, friends and crew who jumped in and made it happen.

A little rewind to Side A / Side B: Sounds of Brazil

From the rhythms of samba and the intimacy of bossa nova to the political spirit of MPB and the experimentation of tropicalismo, we spent the evening tracing the sounds, stories and cultural moments that shaped Brazil’s remarkable musical history.

Guiding us through it all were Booby K, guitarist of The F16s, music critic and interviewer, alongside writer Satyavrat KK.

A night of records, stories, discoveries and some very good listening at Bar Cameo.
