Happy Bookstack Wednesday bookworms...shall we play a game?

Before we do in today's post are some pretty books that I absolutely adore!

For me they are the perfect read if you're unsure about what book you what to read.

They're feel good, have a wide range of romance: from regency to ice hockey, a slow burn to a one bed and enemies to lovers I just love them and would highly recommend!

In this post I have also tagged some amazing bookstagrammers who I believe deserve your follow...

So in the comments is where we will play our game, I'd like you to tag your favourite bookstagrammer down below so we can follow them.

This then creates dear bookworm a follow train, ta-dah!

Exciting I know, so what are you waiting for? Get tagging and following ✨

Which bookstagrammers are you following? 📖

Happy Tuesday bookworms, how's your day gone?

Thank you @sarisbookstagram for tagging me in this fun challenge 🤍

📚 Read in the morning or evening?

I can read any time during the day but I absolutely love reading in the evening or at night, for me it helps me to relax.

📚 Audiobook or e-book?

Not a big fan of either but if I had to choose it'd be e-book.

📚 Fiction or non-fiction?

Fiction!! 100%, bring on the escapism!!

📚 Paperback or hardcover?

See I prefer hardbacks for the looks but paperbacks for the convenience.

📚 New or old release?

I'll admit I prefer buying new releases straight away (especially the special editions) but am always happy to buy books that have been out a while.

📚 Classic lover or hater?

It depends on the classic...I absolutely adore Pride & Prejudice but I'm not a fan of Black Beauty.

📚 Silence or noise?

I have to have some noise whilst I'm reading, I'm from a loud family so I'm used to the noise. I hate it when it's silent! One of my favorite background noises is a crackling log fire especially this time of year.

📚 Bookmark or dog ear?

Those of you who dog ear a book are a monster...only joking! I love a good bookmark, I've been using @fairyloot metal bookmark recently and it's quickly become a favourite!

📚 Morning person or night owl?

This depends on where I am, who I'm with and what I'm doing. If I'm going on holiday then I am definitely a morning person! Normally I'm a night owl as it can take me a little while to get out of bed.

📚 Are you a tbr reader or a mood reader?

I'd love to say I'm a tbr reader but I'd be lying, I'm most definitely a mood reader. I try to do a reading list in my head and stick to it but then my mood shifts and I read something completely different.

I have tagged some amazing bookworms for this challenge (give them a follow) but please feel free to give it a go yourself! Just don't forget to tag me so I can get to know you better.

So tell me bookworms, what are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments below ✨

@bookcasebetty turns 3! 🥰🎉🎂
.
Three years ago I created this account on a whim after getting down in the dumps with an old nursing account, signed up with my middle name so no-one who knew me could find me, and I was just setting out on my journey of learning to love to read again.
.
Three years later I’ve read 276 books, yet my TBR is still a million books long, I’ve made some amazing bookish friends, found fellow hockey and theatre lovers, connected with so many lovely authors both who I’ve loved and admired for years like @carriehopefletcher and discovered through this platform. I’ve had my actual name appear in the acknowledgments of a book which I still can’t really believe happened (thank you so much @paulalafferty_writes ). I’ve had the opportunity to ARC read for some incredible authors like @ellieemberwrites and @lylahtaylorwrites (even if some of them make me scream at them in DMs at 5am when I’m reading on night shift, sorry not sorry @authornellenikole and @mikayla.hornedo.author ), and the honour to discover new genres and worlds and characters that I’ve fallen completely in love with through discovering them on this platform.
.
And I’m ending this first three years with buying my own flat and achieving the dream of building my own home library.
I can’t wait to see where these next three years take me 🥰

Happy Bookstack Wednesday Bookworms 📚

Let's have a go at the chapter challenge! Thank you @book.ink.bee for tagging me in this challenge 🫶🏻

✨ Long or short chapters?
I am a lover of long chapters, you can really delve into the story. But then on the other hand I do quite like short chapters, those seem to fly by!

✨ Chapter names or numbers?
Both! 100%

✨ Multiple or single POVs?
See again I like both of these, multiple is my favourite as you get the full story from all perspectives.

✨ Stop in the middle or end of a chapter?
You're a monster if you stop in the middle of a chapter, I couldn't do it. If I turn the page and it turns to chapter 13 I can't stop on that either, I have to read another chapter.

✨ Do you check the chapter length before reading?
Ha, guilty 😂

✨ Bookmark, dust jacket or dog ear?
Always use a bookmark, never dog ear (monsters) and I do take the dust jacket off whilst reading so I don't crease or rip it.

✨ Has "one chapter“ turned into finishing the whole book?
All the time, especially if it is a book by S.Frasher! (@authorsfrasher)

I have tagged some fabulous bookstagrammers in this but do feel free to join in as well, if you do tag me in it so I can see your gorgeous creations ✨

Did you get to see the Aurora Borealis last night? 🌌

The night sky last night really inspired today's bookstack, here is my version of what the Northern Lights looked like where I live.

Never did I ever think I'd get to see the dancing lights on my front doorstep in South Yorkshire but I'm so glad I did. I'll be looking again tonight with the night sight setting on my phone, let's see what I can capture tonight.

I thought these books from Fairyloot fit my theme perfectly! I've tagged some lovely bookstagrammers for the chance to join in, but please feel free to create your own Aurora Borealis stack and tag me so I can see the beautiful colours.

Did you get to see the lights? If you did where are you from let me know in the comments below ✨

👜 Match a book to your bag! 👜

Thanks for tagging me in this challenge, @rebeccareadsalot

I have completed something similar to this before, but you know what? There are always more books and more bags! So this time, instead of using my everyday bag, I pulled out my somewhat only-on-special-occasions bag

Usually I don’t believe in keeping things just for special occasions. I burn the candles, and wear the nice things, and eat the fancy food in the beautiful packaging. So the truth is I do use this bag, but because it is so small, it isn’t particularly practical for day to day use.

And the ultimate hilarity here is that I have matched it with a book that wouldn’t even fit inside it - although it is a hardback, so I did make it slightly difficult. But I thought the black and gold of Natalie Haynes’ Stone Blind went nicely together, and although there is no teal on the bag, I decided to be forgiving!

So I know a few people have done this one already, but I’m tagging a few more. Time to pull out those less commonly used bags!

❓ Do you keep things for special occasions or are you more like me?

Happy Bookstack Wednesday Bookworms!!

What's your favourite time of day? 🌇

I was tagged by the fabulous @book.ink.bee to take part in this gorgeous bookstack challenge.

The challenge was to create a stack to reflect the sky at my favourite time of day, for myself I adore sunsets. I am that person that will watch the sun go down whilst sitting on the front step or I'll run outside to take a picture of the colours that paint the sky.

Finding books to reflect the sky at sunset was a bit of a challenge because there are always so many colours that decorate the sky.

Have you read any of these books?

I'll tag some people to take part in this little challenge, if you see this and want to have a go then feel free. Please tag me so I can see your pretty pictures! ✨

Swiftie facts challenge

🪩✨💜

Dear Reader,

I was Enchanted to see that @emilyreads15 tagged me in her challenge! Long Story Short, I knew I had to include some of my Taylor Swift CD collection.

I always think of The Playlist by Morgan Elizabeth as the best swiftie romance. Their Love Story is just Gorgeous! They even dance in the pouring rain! I would give it a Seven out of five stars!

How could I forget! Taylor announced The Tortured Poets Department at the Grammys! I can’t wait to see what our Mastermind brings. Counting down the days!

If you've been tagged I'd love to see your version of the challenge!
