Q: Is there a song with your name, and do you like that song? My husband, on hearing my song selection for this post: “I thought you hated that song.” He’s not wrong, BUT if you’re doing a first name stack because @gennareading tagged you, choosing a song with your name just feels like the move (even though this is obviously not how I spell my name). So: it was exactly what my brain needed today to pull this stack together. (Maybe not what my husband needed, as I announced my lack of special editions for titles starting with Y and got that familiar gleam in my eye. 👀) ⭐️ FIRST NAME STACK ⭐️ K - Katabasis, which I’ve already reviewed but this gave me an excuse to give a peek at my @thebrokennbinding SE, which is a stunner. E - Electric Idol (@thebookishbox SE). I will hear no critique of the Neon Gods series: they’re deliciously fun. R - Rebel Witch, the conclusion to one of my favorite duologies (@owlcrate SE) R - Rise of the Cinder Fae, one of my absolute top-tier SEs from @unpluggedbookbox and then Y - You’d Look Better as a Ghost, the only one in this stack I haven’t yet read Tagging a bunch of friends because … why not? (Swipe if you want to see a furry photobomber.)

⛈️Word Challenge When @wordspagesbooks challenged me to make a stack spelling STORMY, I thought, “No problem!” Except that I apparently have only paperbacks with M and Y titles, so aesthetic, this stack is not! It was timed appropriately, though, because it was rainy and gray outside when I started searching for books. S - Slaying the Vampire Conqueror by @carissabroadbentbooks T - The Thirteenth Child by @penchant4words O - Once the Skies Fade by @vanessarasanenauthor R - Rebel Witch by @kristenciccarelli M - Men Explain Things To Me by Rebecca Solnit Y - Yellowface by @kuangrf Challenging a few friends to explore their shelves and find a FOREST stack. 🌲🪾

Who, me, completing a challenge on the same day I was tagged? Thank you, @stephs.morallygraylibrary — this was a fun one! (Next goal: learn transitions and make mine as visually stunning as yours!) This is the Five Finger Book Challenge. 👋 Pinky Finger: a book you promise to read soon 🪄I am reading this one soon. Arcana Academy has all the makings of a book I could love, and this gorgeous @fairyloot edition just makes me want to read it more. Enemies-to-lovers? Dark academia? Touch her and die? Please and thank you. Ring Finger: a book character you’d marry 🎸 You’re going to keep hearing me yammer about Halloran in If Not For My Baby, and if I told you I was sorry, I’d be lying. The yearning. THE YEARNING. @kategoldenauthor did her thing with this one, and if I dropped everything to read it (and then reread it), well ... time well spent. It’s so much more than a rockstar romance. Middle Finger: a book character you hate 😒 Oof. I just finished Yellowface, and June is FRESH in my mind. Is there anything to like about her? I really don’t think so. Selfish? Check. Liar? Check. Entitled? Check. Do I hate her? CHECK. Index Finger: a book you always recommend ⭐️ If you’ve followed me for longer than five minutes, you’ve probably heard me talk about Illusion of Stars. Isy and Erik are still taking up space in my head more than a year later, and knowing that the sequel is coming ... yup, always going to recommend this one. (Please go follow @sarahpagestories for hilarious reels and delicious character art.) (And maybe hippos.) Thumb: a book you give two thumbs up to 🖤 Blood & Betrayals came out of nowhere and burrowed under my skin. Yes, it’s a dark academia romantasy — do I have a bookish type? MAYBE — but it just hit different for me, and I adored it. It’s a monster of a book and I’m here to tell you that’s as it should be. I read the ARC, bought a trophy copy ... and then found someone who could pick up an event exclusive for me at Sinners & Stardust. 🥹 Tagging a bunch of friends if you want to give this one a try, but anyone can join in!

I have very few books with green edges, apparently! I will tag a few people but I haven’t done a challenge in weeks, so *zero* worries if you’d rather not! 💜💙 @readgoodbooks.drinkgoodcoffee 💚🩷 @wordspagesbooks ❤️🩶 @booksandaussies 🖤💛 @bookedwithcodie 🤍💜 @rlsiegel_writer 💚❤️ @livinginfaerytales 🧡🖤 @pesmeisiereads

CARLEY FORTUNE 🩵💙💛 With a change of events this week, I ended up going to meet @carleyfortune at the lovely @wildgeesebookshop with only a few days to prepare but it was so incredible! This was probably my favorite author interview ever and she was hilarious. PULL MY BRAIDS AND CALL ME CARROTS. I tried to do my nails to match the cover of ‘One Golden Summer’ (my husband thought the boat was a piece of cheese) and Carley was so sweet and took a picture of them 😭 Seriously, the best early birthday gift ever! Also girlies HELP— thoughts on the mom jeans? My best friend loved them but I feel like I should be stomping through a creek in them 🤣 and thoughts on the last pictures? I NEED A GOOD PROFILE PIC Happy Thursday beautifuls 🫶 #carleyfortune #onegoldensummer #romancebook #bookish #booksta #bookstagram #bookcommunity #bookreviewer #bookrecs #booktok #bookblog #bookphoto #bookshop #authorsigning
