Week 42/52: How are there only 10 weeks left in the year?? This week I barely took photos or paused for anything other than reading at night before bed. Thankful that @rolld_doll actually took photos at the Bookworm Bookfair because I would have had zero proof of the magic of getting to don my booksellers cap for the the night!

Launched in 1982 in response to the high number of books challenged in libraries, bookstores, and schools, Banned Books Week highlights the value of free and open access to information. This week also unites librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers to support the freedom to seek and express ideas.

By focusing on efforts across the country to remove or restrict access to books, Banned Books Week draws national attention to the harms of censorship. Here are a few examples of titles that have been banned or challenged throughout history.

Thrilled to distribute copies of Tapped In to some fab stores. After we sold out of books at the Bookworm of Edwards last week, we delivered more yesterday! New copies at True Nature gift shop in Carbondale and at Lilith Moon Exchange in Eagle! Thank you to all of the retailers who are sharing this book!! Expect this book to show up in more near you soon! 🎉✨ Tapped In: 31 Stories That Will Change How You Think About Intuition, Connection and the Afterlife is for anyone who has ever looked at their life and thought — there has got to be more than this.
More than the daily grind. More than what we can see and touch and explain. More than what happens when someone we love is gone.
It’s 31 true stories from ordinary people — detectives, nurses, executives, teachers — whose lives were permanently transformed by near-death experiences, spiritual awakenings, and moments that defied explanation. Each person shares not just what happened, but the wisdom that followed.
It’s like having 31 mentors in your back pocket. #tappedinbook #spirituality #bookstagram #vailcolorado #carbondaleco

Join our Read With Allies Book Club in partnership with The Bookworm of Edwards. The book club will discuss Let Us Play:

The debate over the inclusion of gender diverse people in sport has become the latest battleground in the fight for basic human rights and equality. In Let Us Play, trans athlete Harrison Browne and investigative journalist Rachel Browne reveal how the opposition towards gender diverse athletes is fueled by fear and a moral panic as opposed to facts around what makes “a level playing field.”

Everyone is welcome—even if you haven’t finished the book! Whether you’re here for the historical deep dive or just want to hang out with a wonderful group of people, we can’t wait to see you.
