Hey Drivers,

Just a friendly reminder that our next track day at the legendary Streets of Willow is fast approaching on Sunday, June 1st, and we’ll be tackling the track Clockwise this time!

This is your chance to experience the thrill of pushing your limits and mastering the twists and turns of Willow Springs in a safe and exhilarating environment.

Choose Your Run Group, Conquer the Track:

We’ve designed 20-minute sessions tailored to your skill level, ensuring maximum enjoyment and progress:

A - Advanced: Unleashed! Open passing anywhere on the track. For seasoned drivers seeking pure adrenaline and maximum track time.
B - Intermediate: Refine Your Edge! Point-to-pass group, perfect for honing your skills and learning from fellow drivers. Clear communication is key!
C - Beginner/Developing Skills: Controlled Progression! Point-to-pass only on the straights. This group is ideal for those new to track days, or those who are looking to increase their comfort level on the track. This group provides a safe and supportive environment to build confidence and develop sound track driving habits.
Maximize Your Track Time! We’re skipping the lunch break to give you as many heart-pounding sessions as possible! Up to 8 sessions per group!

Important Notes for Groups B & C:

Mirror awareness is crucial! Be ready to point by when a faster car approaches.
Safety and clear communication are our top priorities.

Had a rad time at Streets of Willow with @viptrackdays! 8 sessions per group meant tons and tons of seat time! Definitely check them out if you haven’t yet - their next event is June 1st, at SOW CW!
.
The RX7 ran like a champ all day - no drama, no wrenches were turned and we were able to drive there, drive in circles, and back home 😅. It was a tight squeeze packing the two of us, Enzo, and all the gear - but we Tetris’d it and made it happen. Enzo refused to sit on the floor so he was snuggled on Jane’s lap the entire time 🥹. It was Enzo’s second time at SOW, but first time experiencing the unrelenting windy conditions. Thankfully we moved him in the building where he was more relaxed!
.
Last time I drove the RX7 on track was at Auto Club Speedway, but let’s be real, concrete walls and high speeds make it hard to commit. This time I actually got to push the car and play with the limits in a “safer” speed with less walls.
.
I was happy to end the day with a 1:28 on street pads and Zestino tires.
Next up is to fabricate some proper ducting for the heat exchangers, change out the steering rack bushings (which I suspect are slipping), change out the wheel bearings, and fabricate an intake pipe.
Keeping it a street car is the goal but it becomes a slippery slope when I get the taste of how capable and how good this car feels.
Thanks for following along! ❤️
