Race day photos from last Sunday’s @thegoat.run

Last Sunday was all about being a GOAT… well, at least trying to be one! 🐐😂

I with my group went to participate in the very first GOAT Run in Gurugram, and honestly, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a team relay race.

But once we started, we realised this was very different from the usual races we participate in.

Every round needed some strategy. Who runs which round, who pushes harder, when to take a chance, when to play safe… there was a lot of discussion within the team, a little confusion, plenty of opinions and obviously some “I told you so” moments! 😂

The disqualification format made it even more interesting and kept everyone on their toes throughout the race.

One of the best parts for me was meeting so many runners from across NCR. Running events are always more fun when you keep bumping into familiar faces and making new running friends along the way.

The hydration support was good, the start and finish areas looked great, and the overall vibe was fantastic.

And somehow, I even managed to get some cool race-day photos without my sunglasses! 😂
For someone whose eyes have a strange habit of closing at the exact moment a camera clicks, I’d say that’s an achievement! 😜

Kudos to the photographer for actually managing to catch some good shots! 👏📸

Most importantly, we had a great team and thoroughly enjoyed every single round. ❤️

A few things can definitely be fine-tuned to make the experience even better, but overall, I really enjoyed this new format of racing in Gurugram.

A different kind of race, a different kind of challenge… and definitely a fun Sunday with the GOATs! 🐐🏃‍♂️

Running doesn't need to be fast to be meaningful.

A steady pace clears the noise, builds trust, and keeps you honest.

50 km. One desert. Endless determination.
🏃🏻‍♂️🏅🏜️

Race day photos are finally here, so let me decode them for you 😄👇

📸 Beginning Phase:
Fresh legs, big smiles, full Josh.
“Bro 50km will be a cake walk.”
Running with friends, laughing, cheering, posing like this is a Sunday long run.

📸 Villain Phase:
Sun enters Jaisalmer in full villain mode ☀️
Friends disappear one by one.
Smiles replaced by serious calculations like:
“Why did I sign up?”
“Who hurt me?”
“Is this character development?”

📸 Solo Phase:
Solo run.
No drama. No jokes.
Only one thought: finish strong, finish under 6 hours.
Body broken, mind negotiating, heart still running.

📸 Bib Expo:
Before all the suffering…
Meeting runner friends, clicking photos, unlimited optimism.
If only we knew what was coming 😅

This race gave me memories, lessons, and some very honest photos.
Proud that I stayed the course, embraced the struggle, and finished what I started.

Border Run 50K, the miles are over, but the memories keep running✨

The Border 2025 did not leave us quietly.

It stayed in sore legs that took days to trust again.
In blisters that healed but never really disappeared.
In moments where quitting felt logical, but…

The stubbornness won anyway…

Every athlete here remembers that point. That silent stretch of the course where the body argued and the mind refused to listen.

Where pain was constant, will was tested, and finishing meant more than a medal.

This get-together was a pause to remember what the Border demanded and what it gave back. Stories were shared. Pain was laughed at. Silence made sense without explanation.

At RunPlayGo, we exist for moments exactly like these.
To document not just races, but the people, emotions, and feelings behind them.
To stay close to the community long after the finish lines are packed up.

We are proud of this community.
Proud of the stubbornness it carries.
Proud of the pain it respects.

And grateful for every moment we get to witness, preserve, and share.
The Border 2025 may be over.
But what it built stays.

We are RunPlayGo.
And you never run alone.

Crossing the finish line—officially joining the 100-Miler Club.

The Hell Race - Border Run’2025 => 160.86 kms

2025 ending with the good note of successfully completed the race.

This isn’t just a race—it’s a 160.86 kms mental battle. Starting at noon and finishing the next day, we ran through an entire day, night, and morning, facing everything from scorching midday heat to the biting cold of the night.

We somehow managed to run through the day, but once darkness fell, it was just our headlamps guiding us through the intimidating night.

In the end, completing 160.86 km was an incredible experience. I’ve run 100 km here twice before, but covering 160.86 km is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Thank you @thehellrace team for arranging such great run, keep up the gud work Every year you improved a lot and better for runners, runners who come from every corner of India.

@mukundnaair & @winwithvin for helping during the long training runs.
Mukund bhai, You weren’t running this race, yet you still ran so many long miles just to help us complete our training runs. Thank you so much.

Vin bhai, Thank you so much for arranging the long runs and staying with us throughout the entire time.

Thank you @t10_sports team for the superb comfortable running shorts.

Thank you my core groups @mkjroars and @team.dhaavak for helping always 😊

It’s time to rest, recover and focus on next…

Never give up 💪

My maiden 50K Run

Yesterday, I ran my toughest race yet 50 km at The Hell Race Border Run and honestly, I’m still trying to process what happened out there.
The gun went off at exactly 12 noon, right when the Jaisalmer sun decides to show no mercy. But at the start line, none of that mattered. I was surrounded by my crew, all of us buzzing with energy, trading jokes, adjusting our gear, hyping each other up. For the first 10 km, it actually felt easy, we were running as one long, noisy train, cheering for random runners, laughing at our own madness, and soaking in that rare feeling of shared courage.
But then the sun showed its true colours.

Slowly, the heat began to settle on our shoulders like a weight. Runners around me started easing off, the group began to stretch out, and that festive vibe turned into quiet concentration.
I could feel my face heating up, my stomach turning slightly, and that dangerous little voice creeping in:
“Bro… why did you come here? Who asked you to do this?”
By 23 km, the race felt endless. Every turn looked the same, the desert shimmer made everything blur, and my body was sending clear signals that it was not happy. The aid stations were absolute gold—cold drinks, fruits, volunteers who felt like angels, but even so, my legs had started to feel heavier than they should.

I kept meeting friends on the route, sometimes just for a few hundred meters, sometimes for a couple of kilometers. We shared tired smiles, exchanged “chal, chal, ho jayega,” and then drifted apart again.

But the last 10 km?
That was a different battle.
It was completely solo, just me, my breath, and the burning desire to finish under 6 hours.
Crossing that line felt unreal.
I didn’t just finish 50 km, I fought the heat, the doubts, the loneliness of the final stretch, and somehow still made it under 6 hours.

Today, everything hurts… but in the best possible way.
Proud of myself.
