First and foremost, all glory to God. None of this would be possible without His grace, guidance and the strength to keep creating. 🙏🏾

WE WON BEST SHORT FILM! 🏆🎬

What an incredible honour for ALEX SÜD to be awarded Best Short Film at the @miffsouthafrica (MIFF) 2026.
📍: @ilangamall

A massive thank you to the entire MIFF team for believing in our film, showcasing our work and continuing to create platforms where African filmmakers and our stories can be seen, celebrated and shared.

Thank you to @sterkinekor for continuously opening your doors to filmmakers and giving us the opportunity to experience our work where it belongs on the BIG SCREEN. These opportunities do more than showcase films; they help build communities, connect filmmakers and remind us why cinema matters.

And a special mention that makes this journey even more exciting. ALEX SÜD was shot entirely on the @_nikonsouthafrica ZR. 🎥 The camera became an important part of how we brought the world, emotion and visual language of this story to life.

To every cast and crew member who poured their talent, time and heart into this film this award belongs to all of us.

From Alexandra to the big screen, and now bringing home BEST SHORT FILM.

We keep going. 🇿🇦🎬🏆

We made Alex SÜD at the beginning of this year with no budget, a lot of creativity, and an incredible group of people who gave so much to the film.

Today, we’re so proud to share that it has won Best Short Film at the Creative Minds Film Festival.

We’re grateful to every single person who helped us make it. Thank you for your time, talent and trust!

This belongs to all of us 🏆
