I'm super excited to share the publication of my third chapbook! It's a collection of poems in the form of letters, some to family and friends (maybe you, I'll never tell) and some to dead celebrities. This represents about a year's worth of work and another year's worth of searching for the right publisher which I found in @bottlecappress so needless to say it would mean the world to me if you picked up a copy! This one is only available through the link in bio. And of course if you haven't checked out my first two books you can find them in the bio as well.
🖤🎉 Thank you! 🙏🏼 🖤

Split Air is out.

Poetry can’t stop bullets, but it can bear witness. These poems hold the reality we face in the United States, where repetitive mass shootings slip too quickly from our collective conscience. Split Air stays with this violence and its aftermath, urging us not to look away. #poetryisnotdead #poetrycommunity

Excited to share that my chapbook Skeleton Mine Disaster is out now with @bottlecappress

A collection that digs into wreckage, memory, and the strange beauty buried in ruin.

Handmade and now in the world.

Available through Bottlecap, with copies coming to local shops and events soon.
Grateful to Bottlecap for giving this work a home.

Many nights I listened to @jonbatiste on repeat while writing and processing my own thoughts or emotions. I can’t quite explain it but (for me as a writer) I always felt that “white space” is this unique touch point where our minds blend poetry of notes with dancing thoughts. One night, “HemisFear” took center stage, and it is with sheer excitement and joy that I get to FINALLY share it has been released for publication with @bottlecappress — I cannot express enough gratitude to my editor & the entire team at Bottlecap for their commitment and support of my craft and the literary work of other extremely talented writers!

The more I say #published #author the more it still feels surreal. I couldn’t wait to share this news! I’ve been waiting with immense anticipation and excitement all summer for this moment. To all my family, friends, strangers, book lovers, writing students, and fellow poets, it’s here!! 📖

You can order it now, 🔗 in my bio 👆🏽AND for folks that buy two chapbooks you get one Free.99 in the Bottlecap Press webstore using the discount code “BTGO” — this is so crazy but man oh man, what great things our white space can produce if we allow our creativity to conduct! 🧠🤍

A little more from my chapbook “Train Boyfriends” published by @bottlecappress 🚂 “For anyone who has ever commuted on public transportation to their job, Train Boyfriends is for you. Those who take public transit regularly understand that there are certain unspoken commuter rules that they are required to follow, especially when it comes to love. Train Boyfriends is a collection of essays that explores the ups and downs of finding love on your commutes to and from work. It celebrates the beauty of the mundane, while also illustrating the complexities of relationships.
Train Boyfriends chronicles one woman’s experiences with romance on public transit. It’s not only a commentary on the difficulties encountered in modern dating, but also the way in which the smallest interactions can ultimately change the trajectory of our lives. Through a mix of humor and brutally honest emotions, Train Boyfriends shows just how important each tiny moment in our lives can be.
If you found love on the train, would you leave it there or try to take it with you?“
