A neighborhood staple since 1993, and still one of my favorites @bouchonchicago

The French onion soup is non-negotiable.

Cozy, lively, and just the right amount of crowded. It always feels like a neighborhood spot should.

And obviously, steak frites to finish. A classic for a reason.

The places that make a neighborhood feel like a neighborhood. Always worth supporting the local favorites. ❤️

For this transformation she wanted to go from a solid blonde to a lived-in/highlighted look.
I chose to do lowlights in foils, in a pattern that would reflect the way dimension naturally falls. More depth in the nape and around the back of the head, and less in the front and around her part. We're keeping a bright face frame to keep her feeling as blonde as possible!
A root smudge was applied at the bowl on wet hair, keeping it more translucent. This makes the transition from her roots to the lowlights soft, and gives a highlighted effect on the hair that wasn't low-lighted. And an all over glaze to blend it all together!
This was such a fun appointment! I love getting to solve these issues and create seamless blondes!

I think it’s fair to say that the inaugural @armitagecountyfair was a tremendous success. You’re telling me on a crisp fall day I can walk around listening to live music with portable Manion style steak frites in one hand and a Middle Brow Kolsh in the other?! What heaven on earth did you create Peter?!
Every three feet I was met with another holy sh*+ bite.
I may…just run it back tomorrow 🔥
