Most people know our cattle through the cuts of beef that end up on their table. But there is a lot more to an animal than steaks and roasts.

The bones from our cattle still have value, and we believe in making thoughtful use of as much of the animal as possible. That is where our friends @boulder.broth come in.

Bones from Flying B Bar cattle make their way to Boulder Broth, where they are slowly turned into their finished Beef Bone Broth. Then that broth comes full circle, back to us, where we can now offer it directly to our customers.

Our cattle. Their craft. Back to your table.

Two Colorado businesses working together to make better use of the whole animal.

We ran into Kirstine, the owner of @boulderbroth this Sunday at the @southpearlst Farmer’s Market and to taste some of her amazing broth, including some new flavors. Can we do a shoutout to Kirstine’s amazing, glowing skin? I asked her what her secret is and she said “it’s seriously lots of bone broth.” Okay then, sold!! If you can’t make it to a Farmer’s Market, you can grab our 3 favorite flavors of Boulder Broth from our website (theherbalskinshop.com) and schedule a time to pickup - link in bio! 🍖

Last weekend, our community gathered for a hands-on risotto workshop led by Julie Quinn and Maggie Sheridan, exploring the history, technique, and tradition behind one of Italy’s most beloved dishes.

Together, we learned how simple ingredients and a little patience transform Arborio rice into something truly special. Using locally sourced ingredients from Kiowa Organics, Hazel Dell Mushrooms, Boulder Broth, Switch Gears Farm, and Moxie Bread Co., we prepared both asparagus and mushroom risotto while discussing seasonality, sourcing, and the stories behind our food.
Of course, no Italian-inspired gathering would be complete without focaccia, bruschetta, olive oil for dipping, and gelato to finish the meal.

Sharing recipes, asking questions, learning from one another, and connecting through good food is exactly what Slow Food is all about.

Thank you to Julie, Maggie, our ingredient donors, and everyone who joined us for a delicious afternoon of learning and community. ❤️

Stomach issues?! Try sipping on bone broth. Your food can and will heal your body. 🙌 I’ve been having about 2 cups of this bone broth from @boulder.broth since I picked it up on Saturday from Boulder’s farmer’s market and my stomach feels soooo much healthier. I’m getting more protein and nutrients and the flavors are really amazing. Look at that ingredient list, loved seeing nettle leaf in it. 😍✨ I’ve been having a cup with breakfast and dinner and will be stocking up more this week. Thanks for putting so much goodness into your broth @boulder.broth See ya at the next market. 🤗
