ESPN Sources:: Six weeks after trading for him, the Jaguars are finalizing a three-year, $60 million contract extension that includes $40 million guaranteed for WR Jakobi Meyers that ties him to Jacksonville through the 2028 season. Meyers was scheduled to be a free agent after this season but not anymore after his agent @bparker negotiated the deal with the Jaguars.

As the #Seahawks prepare to face the #Patriots in the opener tonight, one cool note: Star DL Leonard Williams, who has earned roughly $160M in his career to date, will end his contract with a significant distinction.

By the end of this deal, he’ll be the highest-earning non-QB in NFL history — by a wide margin — with $250M.

Larry Fitzgerald and Ndamukong Suh, also among the NFL’s all-time earnings leaders, were represented by the late, great agent Eugene Parker. Leonard is represented by Eugene’s son, Brandon Parker.
