John: “There's no cheating in music. I don't remember who told me that, but it's always stuck with me. If changing an articulation, fingering, or technique makes something sound better, that's much more important than doing it the supposedly "correct" way.”⁣

Kate: ”A day without lip trills is like a day without sunshine.”⁣

Kristen: “Don't stop when you make a mistake. This applies to performing music, but I've found it to be a good reminder in life, too.”⁣

Braden: “It sounds simple, but throughout all the good and bad times, my father always said simply to never stop. Never stop searching for opportunities to keep music a part of your life.”⁣

This past Sunday, we raised enough money for @2harvestmidtn to provide 21,500 meals for families in need! Thanks to everyone - especially all the kids! - for coming out, making a difference, and singing along with us. Weird Pals loves you!

Martyr is yours 🐍
I’m so proud and excited to share this song with you. I co-wrote it with my sweet dad when I was deep in the trenches of the bargaining stage of grief. Desperately grasping at how things could be different instead of accepting reality. A conversation between the angel and devil on my shoulders, while the truth sat quietly in between.

I fully leaned into my love of jazz and chased sounds/textures I wanted to hear in the production. We wrote it on a spring evening in Nashville. The season of new life perfectly contrasting the seething anger in the lyrics. Martyr is a siren song 🌊✨

Recorded in my home studio and various living rooms - I am so honored to have had so many amazing talented wonderful people help bring this song to life. Thank you times a million

I’ve got a long list of people to thank for Comfort Beagle 2026 so just buckle up:

Thank you first to @bradenmwilliams , @drew.plays.bass , @prestonrevans , and of course, @bobbyjoebabb for taking the stage with me. I’m so lucky to get to play with them, and through this process, not only get to call them friends but also ‘’DUDE”.

Thank you to @carson.from.wood.acres and @masonfthomas for joining this bill because they are true homies, and some of the biggest music fans I know. I can’t believe they took a chance on this show, I truly couldn’t have done it without them.

Thank you to @thebasementnash for hosting us, being great to work with, and being a bedrock of the Nashville music scene. Thank you @not_trent_reznor for helping get this thing off the ground. Thank you @seanmccannt for lending me cymbals, @suppyben for lending us rehearsal space, and my kind and patient housemates @harrison_huitt , @nadiavaeh and @tylersprattmix for living with a “drummer”.

Thank you @graphiquephotography for the amazing graphic design work, and all the local businesses that let me hang them. I love you, mom.

Thank you @littlelionbecca for loving and supporting me, despite all the times I’ve doubted myself and all the times I’ve taken a ridiculous concept way too seriously. I love you so much, and I’m so grateful I got to share this experience with you.

…aaaaaand finally I want to thank everyone who came out to the show. It was a Friday night on a holiday weekend, and we were blown away by how much energy y’all brought. I was super scared to do this show, but it was so much better knowing that I was playing with and for my friends. It was a really special night. I hope it was for y’all too.
