Beauty of a day before competition, post surgery PR on dead’s with 485/220 and 500/226.5 moved great and I’m pretty happy they were beltless too. Sandbag to shoulder conditioning was again brutal but very good with rounds at 80kg feeling actually pretty smooth, and I was just brutally bullied by big boy @bradmanhouston to do atlas stones today (he invited me very kindly once) and I worked up to a comfortable 308/140 stone I think, not exactly sure on the weight tbh but it felt very nice

Assault biking after went smoothly and I also did my circuit from last week of 15 light rows to high chest and deadhangs until failure, feeling absolutely pumped for @nswstrongest on Sunday 😎🦅
Was joined today by a buddy from work @dominictaylor491 who picked a good day to come with lol

To grow the sport of strongman 💭

Having the youth and novice level athletes seeing how the professionals approach the sport is important,

We had one of the most intimate professional competitions you’ll experience,

The pro athletes came out to cheer on the novice and less experienced athletes in the competitions before the main event.

They had max log, deadlift, stone. Having the guys they watch on TV cheer them on certainly added a few KG to their overall total,

With the even younger generation taking part in some grip events on the day!

This gave us an amazing platform to build and grow off for 2027.

News incoming 😉

Very good day back out at @_strengthworkshop_ to get back into deadlifts, have a new set of figure 6 straps that are a little shorter than I meant to order but still make a world of difference, solid solid reps with 200kg for 2 triples and then a set of 5 (including a surprise little chat with @bradmanhouston who was nice to see)
After that I went into my conditioning with 70kg bag to shoulder for 90 seconds that is still hellish lol. Some finishing work with 4x15 high chest rows pretty light and “deadhangs” supersetted that I just set the stack for. All in all very good day and I’ll figure out a better method of centering myself on dead’s soon

Part 3 of our series with Australia’s Strongest Man, @bradmanhouston, and the crew from @sydneysolarandelectrical 💪

Vince from SAJ joins them with a six-module B2S battery stack, over 350 kg of battery, to run through safe ways to move and install it on site:

✅ Take 5–10 minutes to stretch and warm up when you arrive
✅ Clear any trip hazards from the install area
✅ Bend your knees and lift with your legs, not your back
✅ As the stack gets higher, rest the module at a midway point and then do a second lift
✅ Drop the ego and don’t be a hero. If there’s a trolley, use it
✅ Install on level ground with a foundation strong enough to take the weight
✅ On a two-man lift, talk to each other so you lift together
✅ Fix wall brackets into brick or a stud, never into mortar

Look after your body and you’ll keep working all year round.

Part 2 with Australia’s Strongest Man, @bradmanhouston, and @sydneysolarandelectrical . 💪

Installer health is critical, and it starts with how you lift. Bradman’s tips are to get in close, bend your knees, drive through your legs, and never skip the two-man lift on the heavy units.

Your back has to last a whole career. Lift like it.

From Nebraska to Australia, Ghana to the UK

The SCL format not only takes athletes from all over the world to compete, it travels all over the world to the fans!

World finals in South Africa will be an amazing spectacle, it was epic to be part of the 2026 calendar and playing our part in the athletes journey 💪!

40? Yeah, I’m actually pretty okay with it.

Still got it, still causing trouble, and clearly still surrounded by people who encourage my questionable behaviour.

Couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of humans to celebrate this milestone with. My heart is full, my feet have recovered, and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat. ❤️

Australia’s Strongest Man vs a full SAJ battery stack. 💪

@bradmanhouston builds it unit by unit while we count off 7 reasons installers are choosing SAJ, from 13+ years in the Australian market to a modular design that just clips in.
Stock and support are ready Australia-wide. Brad, are you free for installs? 😅
