[May 2026] Brain Flower Studios presented: The Heart Show Exhibition & Cookout, an evening dedicated to exploring the intersection of Black hair, art, and community. ✨ The Heart Show, which stood for “Hair Evoking Art,” celebrated Black people’s unique expression through their hair, not just as a form of art but as a reflection of their identity. The Heart Show campaign spotlighted Mae, a talented DFW hair artist, and showcased her creative work. The exhibition also featured works from other campaigns produced by Brain Flower Studios that celebrated Black hair. We sincerely hope you enjoyed being a part of this world we created. If you had a great time at the exhibition, please let us know below. We’re diligently working on new projects to bring you all, but remember, great things in a garden take time. 🌱 Venue Partner: @suitespoteventsfw Catering & Bar: @auntiemoomoobartending Hair Mannequins: @niayasharae DJ: @dj_asa.ace Vibe Curators: @mikebandz17 , @the__mama_mia, @missnellae , @theedrehill , @wherebebe The Heart Show Campaign Production Company: @brainflowerstudios Head Producer: @loveyaasameenxo Creative Director / Stylist: @jaliaizm Photographer: @kasperphotography1 Videographer: @illa_strative BTS Content: @indiajanay Production Assistant: @themuse.um Muse / Hair Artist: @miss.parkerdoeshair Talent: @shesnailahofficial @bighomiebaked @big_body_lani Studio: @laolustudios Interview Guests: @flygworltriceee @kemet_socialbeautysupply @moomoosnmimosas Studio Sponsor: @laolustudios Recap Video: @illa_strative

In May of 2025 we shot the visuals and the film for The Heart Show, a multimedia exhibition cementing hair as a medium of artistry ✨ All Black Crew & Cast Black Owned Studio Black Businesses that sponsored time, money and energy This is what we mean when we say we’re making Black creatives feel seen in front of and behind the camera. This is Black History. I’ve been wanting to hide the photos from social because I felt like seeing them early would diminish the in person experience but trust me, seeing these photos on your screen is nothing like seeing them in person 🥹 We will have a mini exhibit of The Heart Show at our Blooming Visionaries Dinner of 2/22/26 from 6pm - 9pm and we would love to see you there! The link is in our bio 💐 Comment “HEART” for a link to grab your tickets now 💐🫶🏾 Head Producer: @loveyaasameenxo Creative Director / Stylist: @jaliaizm Photographer: @kasperphotography1 Videographer: @illa_strative BTS Content: @indiajanay Production Assistant: @themuse.um Muse / Hair Artist: @miss.parkerdoeshair Talent: @shesnailahofficial @bighomiebaked @big_body_lani Interview Guests: @ @kemet_socialbeautysupply @moomoonmimosas Studio Sponsor: @laolustudios

Had the opportunity to volunteer and go talk to the students at @wearecreate.co ✨👏🏾 A huge s/o to @briandicksonjr for thinking of me and connecting me with the opportunity, I truly appreciate it! I love talking to students and just offering an ear, advice or the opportunity to share my mistakes as lesson that don’t have to be repeated 😭 I vlogged a huge part of my time at the ONLY HBCU in Dallas, Tx @paulquinncollege 💛💜, I created content solely for my HBCU and some of those videos are still being used 🙂‍↕️ I graduated college in 2019 (my goodness) and I feel like I’m not doing nearly enough for the current generation of students but opportunities like this >>>>> With the school year starting back up, I would love to come talk to more students about marketing, media, community building or just navigating school as a creative in general 🫶🏾✨ ( I didn’t take many photos of the students, didn’t want to be all up in their business 😭)

Coffee shops have become such a safe space for me and I’m becoming a regular at @cherrycoffeefw and yesterday when I went in I was truly forcing myself to work because I was exhausted but things had to be done. When I went back to the counter to pick up my order that’s when she asked about The Heart Show and everything in me lit up lol I love talking about the project and for them to think it’s cool enough to share with each other!? lol idk just a cool moment I got straight to work lol tired and with a smile on my face. That conversation refilled my cup and made the work so much easier. Thanks for seeing me 🫶🏾 I had a date in mind for The Heart Show but we need to secure a venue so once we do that then we can finalize the date ✨
