It’s Sundayyyy! You know what that means… The countdown is ON‼️ We’re just one week away from the return of ENERGY 3/13, where we’re making space for Black queer and trans folks to feel bold and celebrated. Whether you’re looking to meet a couple cuties at the bar, or just need space to connect with other folks in the community, make sure you’re at @promontorychicago next Sunday 3-9pm. If you’re in the mood to shake some ass you already know we’re getting liberated on the dance floor with @djcashera, @djdapper_chicago, & @tori.photos.design 😈

Grab your tickets 🎟 NOW at the link in bio for ENERGY- Chicago’s fave party for Queers and their Fam ❤️‍🔥 & don’t forget we’re keeping our coins in the community the day before at our 3rd Queer Bazaar at @sohohousechicago 3/12 from 12-5pm.

It’s not easy inviting people to be apart of your life. Living within this space of femininity and masculinity can be challenging for some to accept. Even accept seems like the wrong word. We want to exist in our energies and vibrations how they come to us. Duality exist and some don’t know how to operate. There will be some folks who will only want your masculinity or only want your femininity and my response to them will now and forever be, “If you can’t handle me in my femininity, then you don’t deserve me in my masculinity” - Fer Marie. *

It’s Women’s History Month and we will be popping up a couple of places this month to celebrate so you should pop out! Catch us this Thursday with A Queer Pride at Eastroom for Femme’s Room, or if you’re looking for something more lowkey, cute and conversational catch us back at Reunion with OTV for a Womyn’s Herstory Month screening and panel! At the end of the month you can find us curating art for a floor at the Surgical Museum of Science with Barestroke’s “Art De La Femme” event! - - - #art #music #fashion #amfm #amfmlife #events #womenshistorymonth #popout

#fbf through our journey we have tweaked Books, Brunch & Botánica w/ different aspects in order to figure out best practice for our growing community. From space changes, to quarterly instead of monthly, to shifting how we do brunch, to adding more artisans, to inclusion of live music and even a slight change of our name. All in the hopes of becoming a better event and shared space that reflected our goal of accessibility and visibility of our communities and talent within. This is our 1st bigger event we did, with multiple workshops. A collective diy self-love zine, a diy lip balm workshop & diy salt & sugar scrub workshop. We also had a DJ, added artisans & a food vendor, & had an ancestor table where we wrote words of gratitude to them. It was beautiful. Our next event is March 23rd. Hope to share space with you! #booksbrunchbotanica
