Sooo thankful for everyone who showed up today to help unload and unpack our new chairs. It took a team but we did it. Come this weekend to check them out!

Honest worship.
Wrong keys, wrong notes, right heart. God doesn’t need a performance. He wants your heart. Your vulnerability. He gave you a voice to cry out to Him. How it must grieve Him when we withhold our unique offering because of the pressure of perfection, comparing our “abilities” against others. Think of your worship as a drawing. Like He has expressed that this is His love language, and He wants your drawing. Maybe you aren’t a great artist—but you don’t have to be! He wants a personal picture FROM you! It delights His heart. He’s not curating for a gallery. He’s cultivating intimacy.

Do not withhold the very thing He desires from you because of a worldly standard of judgement. Worship is t FOR you. It’s for HIM. Sing it loudly, badly, however it comes out—just make sure it’s honest.

Also, what a blessing to be at @brancheshb during this season where every song and sermon is exactly what I’ve been walking through personally.

MUCHAS GRACIAS to Branches HB for funding Pastor Carlos’s trip to Tiquisate, Guatemala! He had a miraculous journey there—from flying standby with zero open seats to a last minute First Class upgrade! On this visit, he was able to bless 120 children in his hometown. Your contribution brought the Love of Jesus to these precious children through food, fans, clothing, school supplies, financial support for medical needs, as well as Carlos himself. The joy and love he carries to this town is the gospel lived out, without capes, branding, or ego. He is a kind, hardworking, humble man of God who gives without hesitation, and is eager to care for those in need from his own pocket. What a blessing is it to partner with someone of such deep compassion and integrity! Stay tuned for future opportunities to join him on a trip or offer support! It is a blessing to be a blessing!

A few weeks ago we dedicated our sweet Ciela at @brancheshb, promising before God and our church family to raise her in a home rooted in faith.

Choosing her life verse felt so much more emotional than I expected. We chose 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, a scripture that has quietly followed me through every chapter of my life.

It’s the verse I used to speak over myself every morning in college. The verse my mom recited to us the morning of my wedding. The one my sister wrote in a letter on that same day.
And when I was torn about choosing a verse for Ciela, it “just happened” to show up on my verse of the day app. The sweetest nudge from God. It feels like He’s been writing this into her story long before we realized it.

A reminder for her to always remain patient, kind & gentle. And to know God is with her through friendships, relationships, and every hard moment she’ll face someday.

We framed her verse and hung it in our home, just like Deuteronomy 6:6–9 teaches: These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

A daily reminder for her little heart, and for ours.

Praying this verse becomes part of who she is. The love she gives, the strength she leans on, and the foundation she grows from. 🤍
