A question I ask clients in their nutrition assessment is, in the long-term, what do you imagine your relationship with food and your body to look like? Fast forward to today, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome you in! 💫 Welcome to the new & improved: Sharkey Nutrition Collective. 🥕🍡🫜🍦🍉 The guiding purpose behind my practice has always been clear: to help you build a peaceful, empowering, and sustainable relationship with food and your body. I joined the WLC board this year, and for my very first new member meeting… I showed up an hour late 🙃 I had the time wrong, so imagine me popping onto Zoom mid-meeting with a very confident “heeeyyyy” while everyone else clearly knew exactly what was going on 😬 Naturally, I assumed they immediately regretted inviting me to join the board. But then they asked me to emcee their conference, one I had never even attended before. Hard pass. But my girl Courtney said it had to be a yes…and she wouldn’t let me tank it. I’m really glad I listened. Spending the last two days with Courtney and Jaymie was so much fun. I loved getting to be on stage with them — they are light, energy, and the kind of people who make you feel funnier just by standing next to them. I haven’t belly laughed so much in forever as I have the last two days. There’s something powerful about saying yes before you feel ready. About stepping into rooms where you don’t have all the context, all the answers, or all the confidence — and doing it anyway. The past two days were packed with connection, honesty, and stories that stuck with me. Conversations about burnout, imposter syndrome, mental health, being the youngest person in the room, and what it really takes to keep showing up. And then seeing those same women step onto the stage and lead with strength and purpose. And we ended it all with Joanna Gaines — low key, humble, and full of gritty truth and honesty. And of course she turned to me before going on stage and said she was nervous and I got to give her a mini pep talk 🥰🥰 Grateful for the invitation and the experience to meet so many incredible people. Actually maybe more people than this introvert has met in the past decade combined. Going to hibernate with a blister on my toe (swapped heels for sneaks on day two) but with a full heart.
