🥁 Dying for a Dream 🥁

Jeremy started @qdrumco in 2010 with a dream: not just to build drums, but to create something meaningful, something lasting, something for the world to remember forever.

For more than a decade, he poured everything he had into that vision. His time. His energy. His creativity. His finances. Building drums wasn’t just a job to Jeremy. It was his passion. His purpose. His identity. 🎶

Jeremy sacrificed so much for Q and even put a lot of his personal touring money into the company. For example, he routed income from his last and final touring gig with the band @muse — to keep growing the company he built and believed in so deeply.

Jeremy spent years working hands-on with materials like wood and metal, dedicating himself fully to the craft of building drums at the highest level possible. 🪵⚙️

He gave everything he had to his dream.

And today, I share this story so people understand the level of dedication behind the Q Drum Co. name, the passion, the sacrifice, and the commitment Jeremy carried every single day.

This is part of a larger story. One that deserves to be fully understood.

Because behind every instrument he created was a person who believed deeply in his work, in his family, and in building something that mattered. ❤️

Jeremy didn’t just build drums.

He built a legacy. 🕊️

And I will never let this legacy and his sacrifice be forgotten. 🕯️♾️❤️‍🔥#Jeremyberman #qdrumco #cancer #drummers #smallbusiness

🎵✨ The Story Behind Q Drum Co.✨🎵

Jeremy’s journey to creating Q Drum Co all started back in the day at the well-known Orange County Drums and Percussions (OCDP). While working there, he had the chance to build drums for some of the biggest names in music like @TravisBarker, @adrianyoung, Chad Sexton, @atomwillardisme, and so many others. 🥁🔥

As OCDP was transitioning into @guitarcenter, Jeremy saw an opportunity to take the next step. In 2010, while on tour with @KatyPerry, his good friend @adam.marcello, who was the drummer for Katy Perry at the time, encouraged him to start his own drum company. That push from Adam was the spark Jeremy needed, and just like that, Q Drum Co. was born.

Fun fact: Jeremy originally wanted to call the company Twenty Ten to mark the year he started it. But after some thought, he landed on Q Drum Co, with the "Q" standing for Quality, which became the heart and soul of the brand.

What started with a simple idea in 2010 has grown into something special, all because Jeremy’s passion for creating high-quality, custom drums has always been at the forefront. 🎶

Justice for Jeremy: Setting the Stage

I thought I’d share a sweet story of how I met Jeremy with you all. It’s basically how it all began between the two of us.

Back in 2005, I got hired to work for Nine Inch Nails and help run the Spiral Fan Club. By the time I joined, the band had already been touring, and Jeremy was the drum tech. He and I hit it off instantly and became fast friends, one of my best touring buddies. On our days off, the backline crew and I would roam the streets of whatever city we were in, just enjoying our “Roadie Fridays.”

Fast forward a bit: after that tour, I got hired as the assistant tour manager for the Gwen Stefani Sweet Escape Tour. They needed a new drum tech and asked if I knew anyone. And of course, immediately, I thought: You have to hire Jeremy!

At the time, he had gone through a divorce, and I was his number one wing lady! Then one of them looked at me and said, You know, Brandi, if Jeremy’s so great, why don’t you date him?

I mean, I was over here talking about how wonderful he was and trying to set him up with everyone else. That was an interesting concept! Because, you know, we’d been friends for so long. He was my best bud.

So let’s fast forward. Jeremy got hired as the drum tech for the tour, and a few weeks in, we started developing feelings for each other. We didn’t act on it until the tour ended. And as soon as we got home, we started dating.

And the rest, as they say, is history. ❤️
