POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A few weeks ago just outside of Seattle, hanging with Jack (🫍) who was splashing around with his aunties, the puppies of the sea (harbour seals), and the sea lions - who are all of us in mind, body goals, and ideal spirit.

We can do a lot of work on ourselves, but there’s something entirely different about growing alongside people who are equally committed to their own growth AND yours.

At our recent retreat on Vashon Island, each Board Member chose a spot on the property we were staying to share their Origin Story.

What unfolded was extraordinary. Every person chose somewhere different, and the stories took us places I don’t think any of us expected. There was laughter, tears, courage, and a whole lot of love. I’m sharing what I’m calling their “family photos” we took after each member shared their origin story.

And this is the stuff that lights me up.

The Board is nine months of stretching ourselves, having conversations that matter, making bold moves, and building relationships that don’t end when the program does. We take our growth seriously, but we have a lot of fun along the way.

If you’re someone who’s accomplished a lot but knows there’s more you want to experience, create, and become, I’d love to introduce you to The Board.

We’re now accepting applications for our next cohort. Link in my bio to learn more.

The Board Retreat: Vashon Island (Day 3)🌳🌊

There are moments when someone finally finds the words for something they have carried for years, and you can feel the room change.

That was Day 3.

We started by moving out of our heads and into our bodies through movement, creativity, and yes, an art project. It became the preparation for one of the most meaningful parts of the retreat, sharing our origin stories.

Not just what happened, but how those experiences shaped the way we lead, love, protect ourselves, take risks, and move through the world.

The real breakthrough came in seeing the connection between where we have been and how we show up now.

There was laughter, emotion, surprise, and that rare feeling of being deeply known.

This is what The Board is about for me. Knowing yourself more fully. Connecting more deeply. Growing into more of who you are here to be, while actually enjoying the life you are creating.

The Board Retreat: Vashon Island (Day 2)🌳🌊

Yesterday was all about looking inward and stepping forward.

We started the morning grounded in nature, using water, earth, and sky to reflect on our “inscapes. Taking time to examine where we flow, where we feel frozen, and where our true boundaries lie.

From there, we took to the trail. On our hike, we gave each other a rare gift: honest peer feedback, reflecting back the power and potential we see in one another’s leadership to help each person step more fully into their purpose.

The real magic? The growth in this room over the past 6 months. From book launches and major career transitions to massive life pivots aligned with core values… it’s been a gift to watch this group step fully into their power.

We wrapped up the day the best way possible: a warm group dinner, a competitive game of Uno, and endless laughs.

Real leadership isn’t just about sticking to a vision; it’s about being aware of your impact, holding space for full-life transformation, and walking alongside your people. So proud of this group!

The Board Retreat: Vashon Island (Day 1)🌳🌊

If yesterday taught us anything, it’s that leadership happens in the moment, not on a schedule!

Between board members accidentally island-hopping and a last-minute grocery run for extra food, our launch didn’t go strictly to plan. But instead of spinning out, everyone leaned in, stayed connected, and chose flexibility over rigidity.

Grateful to lead a group that knows how to go with the flow and prioritize what truly serves the room.

I can’t wait for what the rest of this weekend holds.
