Ever wanted to learn how to make sneakers from scratch?

Our latest student made the trip from Charlotte, NC to Raleigh for our one-on-one 3-Day Sneaker Making Class at Common Ground Studios — an intensive 2.5–3 day experience built around learning the actual process of shoemaking.

From sewing and assembling the upper, to lasting, construction, and putting the final shoe together, we walk you through the process step by step so you leave with more than a finished pair — you leave understanding how it was built.

You don’t have to be from Raleigh, either. We welcome students from Charlotte, across North Carolina, and anywhere else willing to make the trip to learn the craft.

Want to see what the class is all about?

Come meet us at Packapalooza this Saturday, August 22 from 2–10 PM and ask us about our sneaker-making classes, customization services, and upcoming opportunities to learn with CGS.

Embroidery Spotlight! This custom designed heel tab is the icing on the cake for this Groom Sneaker. We helped clean up the design, get it digitized and stitched out on the leather.
