👀 BRASWELL, BEFORE THE SCHOOL AND ALL THESE NEIGHBORHOODS, THERE WAS NAVO! Driving through this area today, you see busy roads, homes and schools. But this part of Denton County has a story that goes back generations! 🤯 In 1847, Thomas Navo established a small community called Navo. It even had its own post office from 1884 to 1907! Over the years, the community also had a grocery store and gas station. These were places where neighbors could shop, catch up and go about their everyday lives. Imagine seeing this area before all the growth. Before the traffic and subdivisions, families were already here building a community and making memories. Today, nearby Navo Middle School carries the name of that old farming community. So when you hear “Navo,” you’re hearing a piece of local history that started almost 180 years ago! 🏫 That’s why I love doing these videos. Sometimes a name we see every day has a whole story behind it, and we don’t realize it until somebody shares it. Did you know about Navo? If your family remembers the community or has old photos, I’d love to hear your stories! 👇#ElectricoArchives #BraswellHighSchool #NavoTexas #DentonCounty #TexasHistory
