Then one day you realise the weights you lift are heavier, the things that used to feel impossible feel normal, and the gym has somehow become one of your favourite parts of the week.

That’s what I love about training.

Not being the best in the room.

Just becoming a little more capable than you were yesterday, with some pretty great people alongside you 🤝🏽

The first video is me about 6 weeks ago trying and failing to bench 102.5kg

The rep was really over before it started, the bar started too far which meant to unrack it I had to lose tension through my body. As soon as that tension was gone the bar was never gonna get back up.

Now fast forward 6 weeks to the present day, I made sure I set the bar to the right height, Ive worked on keeping the tension through my body and now the bar is flying!!

Also to make sure the bar doesn't end me I asked @brave_tribe to get some spotter bars so thanks for that!

Also thanks to @maxkhaihra at @bostonchinwoo for the programming and sitting through my long ass videos

3 years of teaching ✨

And just like that, it's my final week 😢 I cannot begin to express my gratitude for all the studios who took a chance of a freshly qualified rookie, and made me the person I am today. This job has felt more like therapy than work, healing parts of me I never thought I'd be rid of.

It seems mad to be walking away, but life is short and we have to do things that scare us. So, Luca and I are renting out our house for a year and going travelling! We are flying to Aus and then on to NZ but that's as far as we've got so any recommendations are most welcome 🌍

Hope to see you all in class next week for a proper "See You Soon" 👋
