Artist Yana Toyber (@yanatoyber) recently stopped by Quiet Lunch (@quietlunch) headquarters in Flatiron and after we properly caught up, she asked to take photos of some of the interesting parts the office. This sounds like a regular occurrence but with the transformative state that I've been in these past couple of years, it actually birthed a moment of divine gratitude. Being a working creative, I find myself always toiling towards a goal. Rarely do I stop to take time and just thank my own sweet bippy that I get to do what I love every day. Sure, it isn't always Prosecco and crème brûlée. Sometimes it's Dasani water and Hunts ketchup packets... *Stares off into oblivion* But I digress... What I do is important to me and the space that I do it in serves a visual dedication to all the artists that I've work with and various accomplishments--ours, their own and mind. My little 5th Avenue den of madness is a cluttered shrine in which I continue to worship my life's purpose. Yana and I met over a decade ago; but I'm currently refamiliarizing myself her work. I'm a fan reborn. Her photographic eye is an endearing one. Her photography itself is candid and sincere. She captures the genuine soul of what is in view. In view: A picture of my grandmother on my father's side, an illustration by Maia Del Estal, a sticker by Bree, works by Justin Aversano, a flyer for David "Star City" White's My Red is Not Your Red, a letter from Esther, a Polaroid self-portrait by Anna Bloda, a print by Boris Bernard, a piece by KEEBS, a painting by Jeffrey Melo, KNICKS IN FIVE, a flyer for a solo exhibition by Alannah Farrell and a piece by Andrew Adames of Planta Industrial. THANK YOU. P.S. - It's Yana's birthday yet somehow she's given me the gift of being present. THE GIFT OF GRATITUDE. THANK YOU, YANA. #YanaToyber #QuietLunch #ForTheQulture #Flatiron

🎨 A Space for Connection at 2Cookinn What do workshops truly mean to us at 2Cookinn? To us, it is about Connection. Connection means breaking out of isolation to build networks, alliances, and exciting new collaborative models. This translates into developing deep relationships between stores, brands, and our local community. We believe in opening up to networking with entities not directly linked to our daily business, creating brand-new links, and adding fresh value to one’s expertise. (extracted from The Manifesto of Milano Home 2nd edition @milanohome.exhibition) As we reflect on our vision, Art has always been an important element in our community.🌟. Art isn’t just something to look at—it is the bridge that brings us together. This November, we invite you to step into our space, break routine, and create new links with us through two incredible hands-on experiences: ✨ 1. Modern Kintsugi Workshop with Miyuki san @kintsugi_miu Learn the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and gold dust. Bring your own cherished piece and transform its flaws into beautiful history. ✨ 2. Gold-Leaf Workshop with Bree Chapin @breemakesart Come to learn a craft, leave with a new community network. Spaces for both intimate sessions are limited to ensure meaningful connections. We met both amazing artists right here at 2Cookinn, where our connections began! 📩 How to join: DM us to reserve your spot today! #2CookinnAtelier #CampodeOurique #LisbonWorkshops #MilanoHomeManifesto #BreeMakesArt

What happens when the ground beneath you shifts and you have to build “home” all over again? 🌍 Terra Incognita Flashback 2025 - Women Wall of Fame - 🟪 17 women artists, from different artistic backgrounds with different cultural roots, answered that question on one wall 🟣 We live in a time of historic upheaval and global displacement. Whether by choice or circumstance, people are traversing the planet, carrying their stories and traditions with them to some place new. While others are moving, many communities are finding their own cultural and physical landscapes changed around them, morphing into something unrecognizable. When the very ground beneath us is shifting, we must redefine and build new versions of “home.” This project celebrates women as catalysts of transformation and guardians of tradition as we navigate Unfamiliar Territory / Terra Incógnita with a spraycan and a brush in our hands. Swipe to meet the artists 👉 @ Rua Josefa D’Obidos (Lisboa) 🫟 The artists who participated - from Portugal, USA, France, Germany, Brazil, Belgium, & Kalmykia -  Ami B, Bree, Bruna, CäÄT, Catarina Impi, C'Marie, Fled, Evilove Isa Marita, Lilli Marlit, Mafalda MG, Moami, Natê, Out IAM, Rita Grancho, Time for the Oniric. @abanimates • @bruna.bsa • @breemakesart • @caatalataac.pt • @catarinaimpi • @cmarie.pt • @___evilove___ • @fled_13bombingart • @isamarita_com • @lilli_marlit • @mafaldamg • @moami31 • @nateszam • @out.iam • @ritagrancho.artwork • @time.for.the.oniric 📸 Pictures by Jan aka @rebelationavenue 💯 Production by @yesyoucanspray @lisbonstreetarttours * The project is community-fueled, without financial support from any organization or institution. ♻️ Supported by • Permission: @jfsaovicente • @galeria_de_arte_urbana • Paint & warm sweaters: @jopinto.tintas • Scaffolding: Tubosobe • Superneeded energybars and drinks: @gutsy_captain • Thé best onigiris in town: @pentagon.lx • Thé best vegan burgers in town: @ogambuzino.burgerclube • Host food & drinks: Bar da Graça #streetartlisboa #LisbonStreetArt #TerraIncognita #WomenInStreetArt
