@freshcoastfitfest 3-day weekend was jam packed and one for the record books. @richfroning @dan_bailey9 and I secured the 3-peat. Hanging out and staying with all of our friends is always the best part, no doubt about it. What made this year even sweeter was my son @landon_webb9 joined me, watched me compete for the 1st time in years, and we made some amazing memories. Stops included: 1. Louisville Football Stadium 2. Louisville Baseball Stadium 3. Churchill Downs 4. Notre Dame Football Stadium 5. Notre Dame Baseball Stadium 6. @freshcoastfitfest 7. Wrigley Field As Ferris Bueller once said; “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

2025 was one of the best yet. Fun times training and competing with so many great friends (my favorite part). Highlights included: • standing on the podium again @freshcoastfitfest. • finishing inside the top 100 in the 45-49 division. • winning the Legends Classic in Columbus, OH. • winning my heat in the 5th event at @thelegendschampionship. Already excited for 2026!! @mayhemathlete #mayhemmasters @freshcoastfitfest @thelegendschampionship

Wod 1 @crossfitgames Recap Save this photo to never forget that you’re never “too experienced” to make mistakes! Everything was on the line in this Wod, it was both a physical and mental battle. The last 2 months have been very tough, with limitations that didn’t allow me to run regularly: first a micro tear in the calf, then the foot 🦶, and two weeks before, the hamstrings… I started the event knowing that the competition could end right there! I did an amazing Wod and the strategy was perfect for my condition… but competing is going from heaven to hell in seconds. I might even have some reasons that could explain this, but honestly, it makes no sense 😂 I really messed up big time!!! It’s simple: own it, punish yourself, and move on! PDFCP 👊 Banana 🍌😂

The Age Group divisions at the CrossFit Games were stacked this year. To all the Mayhem athletes who competed, you should be proud of the way you lined up and left it all out there. Our Mayhem Performance Coaching athletes showed what steady, focused training and fueling can look like when it counts: a 1st place finish, 2 podium finishes, 5 top-10s, and 10 total athletes on the floor. Here’s the full crew who represented: @xandervderveeke @steselman @miley_crossfit @jdeast57 @leslie_lilbadass @miffylovescrossfit @ryanrettke @samuelsullivan1035 @bretowsley @liamdelaney09

Gym #267 📸: @bretowsley 1️⃣ What’s your gym’s name? (If it has one) No name 2️⃣ How long have you had a homegym? Built September 2020 3️⃣ Where are you located in the world? Wisconsin, USA 4️⃣ Where is your gym located in your home? Attached to the garage 5️⃣ What’s your preferred brand of equipment and why? I use a variety of brands, concept 2, rogue weights and barbell but have a hero barbell as well 6️⃣ What do you think you’ve spend in total on equipment? Overall to make the space your own? Around $10,000. I bought most of my plates from the CrossFit Games so I got them cheaper and I measured a rogue rig and built it so had no cost for the rig. Originally was building a smaller garage to store my boat but then we started training more and made it much larger and now the boat is in the gym instead of a gym in the boat garage. 7️⃣ What‘s the coolest thing in/about your gym? It has pretty much everything you can think of. Living in Wisconsin, the best part may be that it has a furnace, so I can workout in 70 degrees year round. Not many garage gyms have a full 15ft rope climb as well. 8️⃣ What would you do if you could start all over again? Place my rope in a different location, the 15ft section of the roof is actually just above my rig, so the rope is in the middle of the rig. And, like everything, maybe build on an additional 10ft in length. 9️⃣ What item collects the most dust? My daughter’s training bar :) 🔟What’s next for the space? Examples: New equipment, painting walls, expanding the footprint, rearranging. Etc. New equipment, new runner, need to invest in some jerk blocks

Late post (I blame my kids) for the Masters @crossfitgames @thelegendschampionship We were unsure of what to expect with new city, increased field of competitors, different venue, etc. but I was pleasantly surprised. And I’m more than proud of our @mayhemathlete Masters crew performances and excited for their future. 70+ of our Masters competed individually and almost 100 counting the team division. 3 champs 🥇 in their age division and 8 on the podium is insane! Huge shoutout for @crossfit_birmingham for being an incredible #mayhemaffiliate host! And big thank you to our Mayhem Masters coaching crew! You make this possible. Impossible to tag 70+ people but you know who you are and keep striving for more in fitness and life! 📸 @taskforcemediagroup @bennettlooper

Congrats to @bretowsley on making it to the CrossFit Games for the first time this year after never having made a Semifinal before! Brett has been working with @coachmichaelmcelroy for the past year. Here is some of his story and experience of being an MPC athlete: *What was your biggest challenge before working with Mayhem Performance?* "I train 100% in my garage, by myself, so it was a challenge to know if I was approaching the workout correctly or if there were flaws in my technique. I had been a member of the local affiliate, tried specialized weightlifting programs, and followed Mayhem Compete for several years. Mayhem Compete was great, but you can't overestimate the benefit of having eyes on you." *What changed after working with us?* "Dedicated focus on my weaknesses and less focus on my strengths. Mike has said it multiple times, but my minimum weights on lifts/movements have gone up considerably. My strategy on most events has also changed, taking a much more strategic approach and not blowing up in the early rounds. Having someone believe in me more than I believed in myself helped my confidence and work toward a goal I didn't think was possible." *What would you say to someone on the fence about working with Mayhem Performance?* "Having someone focused on how to help you achieve your goals can increase your confidence and performance and help you improve faster than working alone or on a more generic program. I think everyone should experience what it is like to have an individual coach and individual program to see what you are truly possible. Coach Mike and Mayhem Performance have helped me accomplish goals that I never thought were possible. Coach Mike believed in me more than I believed in myself and helped me see what was possible. Mayhem Performance is not just about improving your CrossFit performance; it's about improving yourself entirely."

We started this journey a year ago. Bret trusted the process from the get go, even when I didn’t let him squat for a while (bc he can still front squat 420 on dead legs). I never had a doubt he belonged on this stage. Glad he got to see it through even with some hiccups in the last build. Thanks for having me on your side this year! It was a pleasure
