POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

if you’ve been paying attention to the current #actualfactuals popping up in my IG stories, this soundscape is the type of time i was on back in November 1991 when my full DJ name was Jaycee The Groove Merchant 🤯😉 the only difference is the OG version contained the Impeach The President drums off a 1/2 bar chop of the dub version of “Do The James” with “Paul Revere” instrumental instead of these joints i just yapped from the Mobb a few minutes ago 😉 #djjaycee #puttinafewshotsup #jayceethegroovemerchant my group member @bretteclectic says he has the OG high bias cassette tapes in his storage which I know for #actualfactuals goes waaayyyyyyyy back to his days at the LEGENDARY TOWER RECORDS (AROUND LENOX LOCATION) for a FEW YEARS (the early to late 90’s) and even earlier at Peppermint Records (GREENBRIAR MALL LOCATION) where he was working when i first met him. we bonded over Main Source’s “Looking At The Front Door” when it first dropped. plus I used to work there before he did. September 1988 to March 1989 the first time, and a second time from June 1990 to August 1990. when Kilo’s first album FIRST CAME OUT. shoutout to Red Money “RED IS MY DJ, A SUPER DOPE PRODUCER” shout out to SUPER SOUNDS and TURTLES RECORDS AND TAPES across from from Greenbriar Mall in two separate directions. before i worked at PEPPERMINT, i worked at THIRD WORLD ENTERPRISES on CANDLER ROAD in DECATUR. just telling the story of where I’m from, by way of DETROIT ya dig? and as always, super shoutout to @phontigallo for this iconic ass drop he gave to me way back in 2008, when i kicked my “Eargasms” mix series off. which was also marked off in my history as when i first came back to V103 while still touring the world with @ludacris mixing MONDAY THRU FRIDAY on air at noon. again just telling my story.

Spacy🛸 is the word. From the very first bars, you're launched into orbit. Music from outer space, made by humans, for the galaxy — and beyond.

French producer Orion Westbrook teams up with Atlanta's own Brett Eclectic for a transatlantic voyage packed with modern funk, shimmering synths and celestial soul. Westbrook's sumptuous keys dance around a heavyweight bassline, while Brett's effortless vocals bring the whole thing back down to Earth.

The result? A slice of cosmic boogie that feels equally at home on a late-night cruise or a packed dancefloor.
