Pretty cool being part of Art Alleries in Revelstoke this year alongside some incredible printmaking artists. The poets and their poetry were picked by Arts Revelstoke from a call to submissions back in the early Spring. We, as printmakers, then got paired with each poem to create a piece that matched. My little spider guy is based on a common spider found around Revelstoke. It was fun to get back to doing some linocut carvings. Artists in order: ✏️ Aj Duckham 🎨Taylor Sandell ✏️ Hilary Thorpe 🎨 Brett Mallon ✏️ Jack Winter 🎨 Katja Ewart ✏️ Ripley Duerks 🎨 Dylan Hardy ✏️ Jill Zacharias 🎨 Maggie Hlushak ✏️ Sawyer Ellingboe 🎨 Kira Makela ✏️ Katie Findlay 🎨 Hazel Peet ✏️ Leslie A. Meet the Artist: Brett Mallon (@brettmallon) In the lead-up to our MFA 2026 Thesis Exhibition, These Light-Filled Bodies, we are excited to share a look at the thesis projects of the graduating artists and the work developed over the past two years. ‘Healing River’ questions how intimate relationships with the land nurture personal health in body and mind. My experimental and fluid practice meanders with the Columbia River, exploring River water, natural pigments, watercolour, sound and direct experience to co-create a complex, layered and compassionate history to place. #emilycarruniversity
