MEET OUR JUDGES! 😎

Once again, we’ve gathered a brilliant bunch of coffee expertise behind the judging table. This year’s panel consists of four judges/ three judges and one head judge. Taking on the role of Head Judge this year is Kimia! 👏

Anna Siitari - Kirjalan kahvipaahtimo
”My name is Anna, I run a cafe and a roastery together with my brother and father in Mikkeli. Our roastery started its operations in 2018 and in 2020 our cafe followed. I have competed in the Finnish Aeropress Championships in 2022, when I placed third. Other than that, I usually follow competitions on the sidelines, and this year, I am honoured to be judging the Brewer’s Championships.”

Simo Niiranen
”Hi, my name is Simo, a home brewer from Joensuu. I started to connect to coffee industry in late 2022 after winning AeroPress championship, following with other succesful and less succesful competitions during these years. Nothing but love to the Finnish coffee community 🫶”

Lari Salomaa - Lykke
”I’ve been in coffee a long time, and I’m an enthusiast through and through. My coffee taste is shaped in a real way by where it comes from — the conditions behind it, and the environmental and social impact of producing it. Good coffee usually grows out of good conditions; bitter coffee rarely does.”

Kimia Bergeson - Kahiwa Coffee Roasters
Kimia is the owner of Kahiwa Coffee Roasters, founder of Coffee Competitions Finland, and has 11 years of experience through out different roles in coffee.

The competition is happening tomorrow — will we see you there? 👀

📅WHEN: Thursday 24th September

History of Irish Coffee Demo

What a great time that was! Had the pleasure to help kick off Helsinki Coffee Week 2026 with a little History lesson about the Irish Coffee, and got to dish out some delicious drinks that went down a treat!

Thanks to all involved to help put this pop up together. ☘️

Also big up @brewedtobewild for capturing all these great clips 👏

Kesä 26 👙🌴🧸🥂🕊️🌺

Täydellinen combo lomia ja töitä, perhettä ja ystäviä💞 Pikku hiljaa alan oppimaan miten tehdä kesästä itselleen oman näköisen, sellaisen pitkän kesän että siitä jää core muistoja, sillä kesä ilman kesämuistoja, on kamalaa. Ja kuten ystäväni @brewedtobewild totesi kesällä ”if theres ups, the downs follows” elämän balanssissa ilo ja suru kulkee yhdessä, jolloin muistaakin nauttia niistä pienistäkin hetkistä.💞
