I decided to do a cute Twist & Curl style using ALL @LustersPink products and my results were perfectionnnnnn!⁣

I started by using the Luster’s Pink Shea Butter Coconut Oil Collection.⁣
In order to style my hair it has to be freshly washed. I used the Shea Butter Coconut Oil Sulfate-Free Moisturizing Shampoo to cleanse my hair without stripping my hair ⁣
⁣
Next, I used Shea Butter Coconut Oil Moisturizing & Smoothing Conditioner to help bring moisture to my hair after shampooing. This conditioner is a rinse out conditioner that is great for dry and brittle hair.⁣
⁣
My favorite part is styling ⁣
⁣
I used the real OG Pink Moisturizer Hair Lotion, do yall remember this? My mom used this on my hair all the time back in the day! I used it to moisturize my hair when twisting and using perm rods on the ends to add the curls. ⁣
⁣
When I took my perm rods out I used Luster's Pink Glosser Spray to add additional shine and laid my edges with Shea Butter Coconut Oil Smooth & Hold Edge Gel and ya girl was good to go!⁣

In 2012 that picture on the left was from high school! I decided to go natural and just straighten my hair everyday and all the time (can we say FRIED?? Lmao). I loved my hair short (my bob was fire!) but I never realized how unhealthy it was. I never got a REAL trim, I just did what I thought was best. I have had sooo many setbacks and my hair was stupid thin! As you can see I could barely do a bun. I cut majority of my hair off in college and it grew back but it still wasn’t where I wanted it to be. It looked nice but it wasn’t healthy!⁣

I dyed my hair somewhere along this journey lmao and ALL my hair dried up and lowkey/highkey broke off 💀💀⁣
⁣
Through MANY setbacks, self given haircuts lol and teaching myself how to style and take care of my hair, I finally feel like I’ve reached the healthy hair level in my life.⁣
⁣
I think alot of people want healthy hair overnight, with length and a side of curls in a jar but….I don’t think its realistic. Our hair is like a flower, you have to nurture it so that it will grow.⁣
⁣
So often I feel like there are people who may be the “Left Side” photo (and thats okay because we all have to start somewhere) and just instantly want to be on the “Right Side” photos. ⁣
⁣
Don’t compare your process of how YOUR hair grows with anyone, do what works for your hair, and GET A TRIM FROM A PROFESSIONAL! A trim changed the game for me and shifted my perspective on everything.⁣
