ATTENTION. These are photos from a Book by my friend Brown Cannon called NORTH. NOT MY PHOTOS!!!! I was going to put my photo farther back but I didn’t want anybody confusing these photos being mine. As you can see I’m trying to look as studly as possibly .As I said the photographer is my friend @browncannoniii he has done an absolutely beautiful book on the north shore called NORTH. A huge format beautiful Printing, incredible portraits, and just beautiful lifestyle and action images.It’s such an inspiration to me and sure is motivating me . Last time I shot the Eddie was the Brock swell in 2016 and before the contest even started we got caught by a 40 footer and had to ride it. Thanks to my driver @makahacraigger for a wild ass ride and keeping me safe. Like I said, you’re only as good as your driver. Will it go tomorrow? Heavy anticipation to say the least hope I got a JetSki but I may have to do it on the boogie like the old days. Jamming with Eddie! Photo pat O’Connell We met in Tahiti some years back during one of the Billabong events at Teahupoo when Eddie came with @kellyslater We jammed a bit and Eddie wanted to get a band together with the 3 of us but I just could not stand the thought that I could be Pearl Jam’s Yoko Ono so I bowed out graciously and of course the band went on to make some great albums. Men in Black. @brentbielmann and I back in the glorious days of Transworldsurf .The mag came up with an idea of us with Suits and Ties on (you know we’re going to work and our office is the ocean)so we grabbed @ryantfoley and put him to work and he got some really cool shots for us. Well times have changed as we all know in 10 years,Hell in the last month. There is only 1 glossy, color, Monthly surf mag left in the whole Of North America. The rest are long gone. That’s Freesurf mag. Yes my friends I am now the photo editor and my nephew is our senior staff photog and Our team is putting together a thick, beautiful stunning special edition issue. We will have more info soon and actually you can go to @Freesurfmag on Instagram where you can order it and they will have all the details . I’ll be posting more in the next few days. Mostly I just wanted to post this photo of the two of us cause I thought we looked pretty tough. Stay safe please! The quicker we stop socializing the quicker this will be over. @coronaviruss

Here’s 2 versions of @whoisjob out at Pipeline during the big swell a couple days ago. I went thru my photos and found this one with my nephew @brentbielmann in the photo shooting with a fisheye . I called him to see if he got a good shot of this and of course he did and so we posted both versions on our instagrams. I have to say I never imagined Brent would turn out to be such a great waterman and that we would still be sharing the lineup with each other now. I’m very proud of Brent.
