You’ve gotta think big to be big!!

We are thrilled to share that professional actor and BSA alumnus Brian Michael Hoffman will be joining us in Baltimore to mentor our Hairspray cast as they prepare for the annual cabaret performance at the Engineers Club.

Brian recently played the role of Wilbur in a professional regional production of Hairspray, bringing firsthand experience and a wealth of insight into this beloved musical. We’re excited for our cast to learn from his expertise, gain valuable performance tips, and explore the humour, heart, and energy that makes Hairspray such a joyful show!

Brian's "Amaze" of the Day:
Thanks to everyone who reached out with birthday love! I spent the day ending one sailing onboard the beautiful Disney Fantasy where Andy's "in residency" in the stunning champagne lounge, Ooh-La-La. And today, I jumped right back onboard for another cruise where we were greeted by the too fabulous for their own good Sanderson Sisters! (And yes, Mickey-shaped churro waffles happily stood in for birthday cake!)

Come From Away was such an amazing and impactful show to get to work on. Primarily alterations work for @jls_mind_to_stage designs. Every single character felt so real and set in the reality of what had happened. Amazing work from every actor and technician.

A lovely journey to Gander and back with one of the sweetest teams of people (and alpacas) I’ve met.

This incredible team brought COME FROM AWAY to life in incredible fashion this week. We ran this incredibly difficult piece on our 7th day of rehearsal. This group was not only prepared, but ready to play, and showed up in a way that a director only dreams of. So so proud.

@antthology came up to celebrate another Miracle of the Forest! Opening Night of my 12th show at Forestburgh Playhouse

Back at @fbplayhouse for my 12th production, and crossing this incredible show off my bucket list!

Excited to be building this beautiful story with this inspiring group of humans. So many reunions with old friends + so many brilliant artists in one space = a lucky director!

The incredible team behind Come From Away! So excited to work with these incredible folks on this one!

Pretty sure this show will break my record for the most blocking charts I’ve ever created for a show. 12 actors, 12 chairs, 111 characters, and endless scene shifts. Let’s GO!
