POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For much of my life, I’ve been deeply curious about what helps people heal, feel alive, and what contributes to our collective wellness.

That curiosity became the foundation of my doctoral research, exploring the conditions that help individuals, teams, and communities cultivate greater vitality, alignment, and healing.

Alongside the brilliance of Dr. @drey.page and @briatoupac , that work has grown into @vitality_futures , the Vitality Framework, and the Vitality & Alignment Index.

I’m excited to share this work through the Healing Centered Education & Leadership Intensive: Designing for Aliveness with the @acostainstitute .

If you’re looking for more healing centered ways to live and lead, I’d love to learn alongside you!

Here’s our engagement story 💍✨

Months ago, Drey asked Bria’s hand in marriage. Bria’s mom said yes and then the planning started.

When thinking about the place, the most important thing was for it to be somewhere intentional that would show Bria how special she was to him.

Before even dating, Bria told Drey that her favorite place in the world was her grandparents home in Holland, NY, just outside of Buffalo. They sold the property in 2022.

So we reached out to the new owners to see if they would be willing to host a surprise engagement. They said they’d love to be a part of something so special.

Then we got to planning. Bria’s mom, sister, aunt, and mom all contributed to keeping the surprise for months. From flower bouquets to a special blanket, we made sure each detail expressed the love between Bria and Drey.

The day of, we threw Bria off by making up a few stories, while Drey and some of her family members headed out to the house to set up.

We told Bria she’d just drive by the old house, a tradition when we go visit. Little did she know the surprise that would be waiting for her.

A special day for a special kind of love ❤️

Stay tuned for the Pages to come 📖💫❤️

Oh Spelman, 10 years later and you still have my heart🩵

There’s something sacred about putting on a white dress and pearls, walking under the alumnae arch again 10 years later, and celebrating the next generation of Spelman women alongside the sisters who walked this journey with you. Last weekend filled my heart in ways I can’t fully explain. It reminded me that this place is more than a college: it’s a legacy, a sisterhood, a forever kind of love.

When we say Vitality, there’s so many layers

In our Framework for Vitality and vital living, we identify 8 core domains:
🧎🏽‍♂️‍➡️Spiritual
❤️Emotional
🤝🏽Relational
🏃🏿‍♀️Physical
🧠Intellectual
🧑🏽‍🏫Vocational
💵Financial
🌎Environmental

These domains are the starting place for thinking about the whole experience of our lives as humans.

We are more than jobs and paychecks.
We are emotional and intellectual creatures who thrive most in community with others and our planet.
When our mind, body, and spirit are aligned we our powerful beyond our own imagination.

Which domain(s) of your vitality cup are you pouring into right now? Let us know in the comments 👇🏽

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re asking a different question.

Awareness asks us to notice. We’re asking what it takes to truly thrive. 🌱

Vitality is the life-force that emerges through presence, purpose, and connection.

It starts with one simple question:

What makes you feel most alive? ⬇️ We would love to have you share with us in the comments.

There’s something powerful about choosing to pause.

This past week, we gathered for our Q1 Vitality Futures Step Back Retreat grounded in a simple truth: stepping back is essential to stepping forward.

In a world that pushes constant motion, we created intentional space to slow down, reflect, and realign.

Together, @social_justis , @briatoupac & @everydaywithdrdrey , mapped pathways for how individuals and organizations can access, embody, and sustain vitality in meaningful, lasting ways. We asked:
What does it look like to design for aliveness, not just productivity?
How do we build offerings that honor people’s full humanity?

From this, we began shaping the next chapter of Vitality Futures, clarifying how our services can support healing, growth, and collective impact at both the individual and organizational level.

We also officially launched the Vitality Index this week at our launch ceremony. A tool, a mirror, and a guide to help people understand and grow their vitality across key domains of life.

This is just the beginning.

If you’re curious about building aligned, human-centered futures rooted in healing, wellbeing, and collective thriving, let’s build!

I’ve been deeply reflecting on the tenderness of this moment and what is being asked of me. I don’t have all of the answers, but what I do believe and know to be true is that we can get there by building something together . In that same spirit, i’ve been quietly building alongside my dear friends @everydaywithdrdrey and @briatoupac with @vitality_futures . We’ve built a tool that we believe will support people, orgs and communities with healing, thriving, collective wellbeing and community care. We are calling it the vitality index and we are excited to share with you and would love to have you join us. To register visit link in bio. Peace.

The future is not something we arrive at.

It is something we choose.

A future where people feel more alive.
A future where our systems sustain life instead of draining it.
A future where vitality becomes a shared commitment.

That future doesn’t begin decades from now.

It begins the moment we decide to build it together.

✨ Join us for A Future We Deserve (& Can Build)
Saturday, March 21st.

An interactive gathering where we’ll explore the Vitality Index, imagine a bold 2050 vision, and begin shaping what comes next.
