Even with the city in a state of emergency, we’re grateful to our Wellington design community who gathered together for this week’s event.

Hosted at the fabulous @wellingtondesignlibrary, our Textile Talks Masterclass in Fabrics & Furniture with @davidshawfurniture @montreuxfurniture @kovacsdesignfurniture was an educative and inspiring morning, led by NZ owned, family businesses.

Thanks to everyone who was able to join us, and for those who missed out, Design Day is around the corner, see you there!

This architecturally designed renovation retained the characteristic facade of the existing villa while demolishing the interior and rebuilding to improve and modernise the interior flow.

Dozens of people visited one of our builds in the Wairarapa a few weeks back when the @nzhouseandgarden tours took place. We asked them what they thought once they’d walked through and the feedback was awesome with some even saying it was their favourite on the tour. Thanks for the feedback, guys! #nzhouseandgarden #nzhome #nzhomeinspo #Wairarapa #NZbuilders

The power of paint and good lighting. Swipe right for before photos. The orange tinged timber fire surround and skirting boards are painted an off white as are the beige walls. Beige carpet is ripped up and floor boards painted white also. A favourite Turkish rug adds colour. Dated brass chandeliers are replaced with light reflecting pendants (see the refelction in the mirror)and an antique mirror reflects light back into the room. The pendants are on dimmers (always add dimners in every room!), and lamps light the room are perfect for evenings. I cannot emphasize enough, the importance of dimmers and lamps - bright overhead lights on full are dreadful and ambiance killers - don't get me started! 😂 The end result is updated and timeless… 💫

A favourite project featuring Cloud Pendants and a custom made mirror. These pendants certainly tick the ‘buy once and buy well’, ‘cost per wear’ and wow factor boxes 🤩 The mirror reflects light back into the room and the antiqued glass and metal frame add interest.

Hiring an Interior Designer means you can have bespoke, custom made items for your space, rather than off the shelf things everyone else has. And it doesn’t need to cost more. In this favourite hotel project, we added a custom console, antiqued glass mirror in a metal frame and beautiful hand made lamp shades to make this space unique. The gorgeous reflective wallpaper adds warmth and light. If you are looking to make your home a unique haven to come home to, whether it is one room of a while home, contact me now ✨
