it’s the diva of the hour @robertbaxtr 😻

between opening for THE @ashnikko on the aus/nz leg of her ‘Smoochies’ tour and dropping their third EP ‘PARTYANIMAL’ you can safely say that Robert is booked and busy!

here’s what they had to say about the topics we can’t stop thinking about…

thanks to diva Amber @twntythreemusic for setting up this chat.

what i learnt at @bigsound this year:

- musicians and creatives are awesome and meeting new people isn’t as scary as it seems
- take naps wherever you can whenever you can
- the shoes you wear MATTER
- i love my beta blockers
- carpark sets are a vibe
- dyeing your hair pink is a fabulous conversation starter and your head will be MASSIVE from all the compliments 💞

Fashionably late to #Bigsound but my god I had the best damn time.

5 days in Meanjin
17 hrs sleep
16 live gigs
2 sunrises
and a whole lotta good vibes

But this was only half the trip… pt 2??

another @bigsound has come and gone. scroll to see my faves from a week of iconic live music 💫

@saltysw33t was by far the standout of the week! it felt like a full put together show from start to finish, everyone involved never missed a beat. this girl is MADE for the stage.

it’s been a long time coming to see @sweatbabyyy live and i was blown away by his performance. such a dynamic set of both originals and remixes and the best part was just seeing how much fun he was having up there. he just radiates the most beautiful energy.

never thought i’d be getting down to a boy band but @pash.theband has won me over. jett fronts the group flawlessly and the rest of the band is just as strong. big fan of these guys!

i’ve caught @jettblyton a few times before but this set felt like a step up for him! he radiated confidence on that stage and his band was tight. keen to see him keep getting better and better.

was #blessed with a stellar @mayawithadash set! loved getting to hear some of my faves from her debut album.

how do i even begin to describe this set! @zipporraahh absolutely FLOORED me. her stage presence, her vocals, her charisma, her talent is all undeniable.

you haven’t lived until you’ve seen an @iameliwan set! he merges comedy and music so flawlessly. as an adhd human this was my DREAM set.

@killqueenie had everyone in the palm of her hand. she is a master of her craft.

@syccoworld whipping up a set in a random carpark in the valley was such a special highlight of my week. this set really showed me the strength of community and it was such a beautiful thing to experience. it also made me really keen for her upcoming album!

this energy in this @nerve.mp3 was unmatched! it felt like one big party and i was stoked to catch his like a version of ‘sexyback’ irl.

@imbellaamor is SO back! she came out with a whole new lineup of songs that the crowd absolutely ate up. i’m super excited for this new era for her. she is a master of her craft.

@peach.fuzz.band are always so much fun! love seeing ben shred on the guitar. this was such an energetic set to watch.

the one and only @hollyhebe made an appearance in brisbane this very special set. it was a treat see
